Thank you. What do you mean if they can snare? I’m not a native English speaker, I thought snare is the speed penalty when suffering an attack. And, exactly, what bonuses want give them?

What if you could simply train different types of disciples, one with fists. One with spears, one with swords etc with exactly the same stats but different multi.

I hope other people try out your incredible mod and see by themselves weather or not this in fact needs some tweaks before being officially implemented into the game and being multiplier available.
My intuition is that it is not as game-breaking as a lot of people make it sound but it will be a great alternative to have for early defenses or a White Pagoda rush.
Would be so easy to add the animations and naginata from the devs…
I know right? But honestly now that I’ve been playing the mod with attack-speed changes it is not enough.
Having disciples with decent speed, snare ability and anticav multipliers is a complete game changer and opens so many possibilities for China. I can FINALLY use flamethrowers in a viable way - since they are so weak to cav, have short range (less than a musk) and not great speed to make up for it, these disciples are the perfect unit to go with them, providing them with a good snare and protecting them versus cav reliably. @tilanus
You are out of your mind, china doesn’t need any buffs to disicples, nor any buff in general.

Have you lost a lot to a China opponent that goes for the White Pagoda Wonder that you have such a balance concern?
My guy is scared of a thing that is not even used because it sucks so much xD

if you want the pagoda rush to be a thing, better to give disciple the advanced scout treatment (1 pop & no build limit, white pagoda and monastery can build them) then this - though treaty players might be mad then
Nobody will ever say in a normal sup game “oh this is a Pagode angle, maybe I shouldn’t age up with sommerpalast/porcelain tower/Confucian academy/temple of heaven.” And guess what that’s because this wonder doesn’t do anything useful, even compared to the wonders of the other 2 Asian civs
Yeah this might actually be the worst wonder age up across all Asian civs
