Dynasties of India creates a lot of precedents

I’m still wondering why they didn’t add a proper skin at the release.

It could be cool, especially if they replaced the hussar wings with a sashimono (the vertical flags Japanese warriors carried on their back in battle)

Does anyone have the texts of the history section text for the three new civs and the Hindustanis?

What we have is what they post in the Age of Empires page

Lol now I want ashigaru but strictly for campaigns. I’d also use them in other Asian campaigns.

I’d buy a DLC with this unit alone. 11

I can create the unit graphics for that unit. Will you pay me?

If they then add it as a unit for the Japanese, 100%.

In simple words that was a “No”.

It’s the same Naginata Rider in AoE3. And I can’t believe they just leave Hussar model for Mounted Samurai unit for years.
Dev can make a small regional skin pack if they feel the need of income.

If dev really wants to do it, they will do it. Just like Knight gets replaced with Shrivamsha Riders.

or hussars with winged hussars

Why should we pay for fixes?

If they adjust a civ, so that’s a fix, so of course charging is not right. But as for a skin, people who love historical vibe can pay for it which is a mere option.

I think the bengalis are fine. The new hindustanis have the potential to be even stronger (though that isn’t clear) than current indians.
Dravidians and Gurjaras seem to have big holes in their tech tree which I think will make them underwhealming if they are released like they are in the preview.

I like the new units, they seem to be really cool.
But most of them certainly need to be tweaked cause they are either extremly situational (urumi) or are weirdly implemented in a way that they actually will be quite bad trying to execute their “purpose”
Namely armored eles and Shrivamshas.

And I know that sounds a bit overcritical, but I rather be critical now than having civs with a bad release.

Correct, unfortunately some people on this forum are interested only in fighting and opposing new civs and changes that the devs have worked hard for and brought for us.

I commend the devs for being bold and introducing/changing so much stuff this time

You might not have seen
But I have seen plenty of gameplay, and testing
This is why I say you need to read the logic, data, sources and reasoning of the other side as well.

It may not be perfect, but all that we’ve seen of the new DLC counts for a lot. Check the twitch streams

I will try my best to read the logic, data, sources and reasoning once it is available, probably in a few weeks after release.
No worries Parthnan
