Elephant Archers are still crap (acc. to Viper, Hera & Nili), even with -10 Gold and 2s reload time

First, i think nili hera and viper haven’t made any thread here. Free to show me where they did. Specifically stating that elephants are still crap because they played 200 games already and have superior pratice knowledge.

Second, It started because you made this thread. If you hadn’t there wouldn’t be anything like that.

Third did i say he was right or wrong? Why are you telling me this?

Nili Hera and Viper did post videos/streams on these changes though, on their own platforms.
While I broadcasted their opinions on this platform. Similar much?

hera hasn’t said its still f tier. He said its still not good, but hera rarely goes beyond the meta. The unit is better then the ballista elephant on heras list. By heras logic, the elephant archer is now d tier at worst.

More health, better dps, cheaper cost, better top end damage and less likely for attacks to be dodged, better top end armor…

OK 100% True. This is without a doubt the objective truth that EA’s do more dps with reguar arrows than Ballista Elephants can with scorpion bolts and splash damage.
What else can I say, your word cannot be opposed by Viper, Hera and Nili’s words.

Lol, they are not active at this forum. They are active at Youtube/Twitch/… and they shared there opinion at that platform.

pure stats alone tell me its better

they have to hit their target to do that damage. and anyone going up against ballista elephants should be using a split formation and split micro.

And why is viper trying them then? He immediately thought of trying indians. Against hera furthermore.

You know you dont have to play meta and you also dont have to pick the best civ every game? I had no doubt TheViper will try this unit, even before i heard about his opinion of the unit.

But why specifically indians? He could have played Portuguese?

Because he want to try EA.

But why? Hera Nili and said they were bad, even viper said maybe it isn’t that much of a change?

here you go Parthnan

Viper. Using Elephant Archers numerous games in a row. including in a 1v1. against…HERA

Hera game at the end of the video

He likes to try new things. EA gets a buff, so he will try the unit. So he picks Indians to try EA.

But why? Didn’t he already made his mind? What about hera? What about nili saying they are bad? Why is he ignoring them, why is he producing those units and why he is winning with them?

Most of the games he used EA were DM

and he used them against hera too, in a random map. not some scrub. hera. if they are good enough to close out a game against hera, that means they aren’t completely terrible.

also, if they are good enough to work effectively in a DM, that means that the unit is also at least decent, the problem is, like everything else, getting to enough of them. the unit isn’t terrible. just expensive. its an elephant. of course its expensive. they even chewed up mass halb being thrown at them.

Hera just wanna try hard every game to me, while Viper is more about having fun. That makes TheViper going for EA, but Hera not. I dont really follow Nili, so i dont really know what he is up to.

In the end it is Viper. He can win against everyone with every strategy. So i am not surprised if Viper won against Hera while using EA. It is not like Viper wins with a unit, thus we conclude the unit is great.

no, but we CAN conclude that it is better then it was before. he tried a month ago against K4SVA with EA and they didn’t work at all, so the fact htat he didn’t outright throw a game against hera shows the unit is at least not a complete…well you know.

personal conclusion - the EA is better, can contribute, and while likely won’t see very much use at the highest level of play, is at least a unit you can have fun with, without feeling like you’re screwing yourself over.

here is the thing, Hera, rarely deviates from what is meta. i am convinced that he could be playing a team game against a bunch of nobodies and he would still go full on try hard mode like he was playing viper in game 7 in a tournament.

Viper, on the other hand, loves to go out and just try random crap and have fun. he has entire video series of this type of stuff on youtube, like him trying to beat the Extreme AI in a 1v4 (hes up to like 21 uploads in all, and loses most the games), or him using stuff that “shouldn’t work”, but it does and he has fun doing it.

As for Nili, i take everything he says with a grain of salt. first of all, Nili is a great caster, but as a player? eh, not so sure how good he really is. in a recent tournament game he was playing as Teutons, and he was right next to a Lithuanians player.

the Lith player went straight to Leitis. Nilis plan to beat this? invest into Elite Teutonic Knight of all things.
