It is not contradiction as:
PROs do not need to prove what they say for balancing. They have shown they are able to optimize game decisions. But SoTL needs to prove.
SoTL also holds some weight but not as much as Viper or Hera, let alone Viper AND Hera. Simple
Pros have been wrong before, their arguments should not be taken as law

Agreed.
In this case, SoTL’s opinions do not match the opinions of Viper, Hera and Nili in terms of weight though (As SoTL is not even a pro).
And now consider that SoTL is the one who needs to prove his theories with theoretical tests, Not Viper, Nili or Hera.
I have always said SoTL is a theorist and his opinions don’t hold weight outside of theoretical situations.

I only used it as a reference point for the theoretical cost effectiveness of Keshiks
Because I could not find pro games that directly demonstrated this, Keshiks are not frequently used

No they do quite often but with lot of randomness and variance, but most Pros did not use pure Keshik armies, such that I could use as clear proof

Like: how often do you actually see pros use elephant unique units in games?
Also: you wanted the elephant archer out of the f tier. It’s now better then the ballista elephant.

According to heras d tier, his best unit in that tier is the ballista elephant. The current elephant archer is better then the ballista elephant in nearly every way. Does this not prove that it is no longer a f tier unit?

None of them have done new tier videos since the patch.
My point was you have claimed, repeatedly that you wanted the elephant archer out of the f tier. You got what you wanted. And yet despite getting what you wanted, you’re still unhappy.
I mean i saw this coming. Yeah I figured it would get buffed. I didn’t see it getting a large buff because frankly they are a decent civ as is, and well guess what. They totally got what I thought thry would get. Thry got a decent buff so they arent complete garbage, but not enough to make them the core of any army.
Why would I, or you, for that matter, expect anything less? Show me a single elephant unique unit that is used as the core of a civs army.
Yup, Viper, Hera and Nili totally need a lot of testing for their opinions can even be validated, fo they are actually contradicting themselves in many respects.
But this, we can say for sure, we do not need testing for this, as it is a fact that -10G 2.0s reload EA are better than Ballista Elephants in every way.
Again bro, wait like at least 1 week before posting these threads to see how effectively they fare now. Sure the mentioned people are good but they themselves haven’t tried it. What if Yo in his stream said they are the best unit now? Also Viper infact is trying them because he knows he has to try them in practice too. He played one game vs hera with indians and he beat him solely with feudal scouts and as soon as viper started producing ele archers, hera resigned.
True, I, Viper, Hera and Nili should wait atleast a week before posting any opinions on EA
