End-game statistics screen

The Age of Empires 2 community has been looking at the same end-game statistics screen for 25 years. I’ve come up with some simple ideas to improve the statistics screen. You’re welcome to offer suggestions as well. Actually, I previously made a similar suggestion for the minimap screen.

  • Split units killed into military and economic categories
  • Break down military kills by type: infantry, cavalry, siege, archer, naval
  • Break down economic kills by type: villager, trade unit, monk
  • Add raiding efficiency ratio: villagers killed / villagers lost
  • Add conversion stats: units converted / units lost to conversion

I do not like adding mechanics from other games (even of the age of empires series), but I would welcome many post game statistics from age of empires 3:

In particular, I would like to have the absolute economy unit count, military unit count, and total unit count over time, which I find much better than the counts relative to the ingame population which we have in age of empires 1 and 2.Then we can easily compare the villager counts and see TC idle time.

Also from age if empires 3 statistics screen, I would like to see the food/wood/gold/stone/total resources collected over time.

In addition, I would like to see the infantry/cavalry/archers/siege counts over time and the military+towers+castle cost in food/wood/gold/stone over time.

yeah, this is the stuff I would have liked to see improved in a definitive edition. really sad that they dropped the ball on this

Agreed, more stats and breakdowns would be cool, and would have been a neat enhancement for DE

I’d like to see more granularity in stats when you hover over them, like this old mockup I made:

This old thread had some ideas, as well:

PS: I see the forum is struggling with screenshot uploads again as well as displaying old screenshots. Seems to happen once ever year or two

The most important statistic is work efficiency. And also, given that this has been requested for some time, it would be interesting to see how much extra gold the Keshik and other civ/unit bonuses generate
