Why is Wasa in Muscovy if they didn’t rule the country?..Oldenburg would be for the Romanovs and the Phanariots for Sofia Palaiologos (wife of Ivan III and grandmother of Ivan the Terrible)…The Jagiellones would be due to the conquest of Moscow in 1610 by the Poles…
What does Wettin have to do with the Caucasus?..
It’s the same… except that the north is Orthodox Christian and the south is Shia Arab…
Because each continent has its corresponding minor civs: America (minor Native Americans), Asia (religious holy sites), Africa (African kingdoms) and Europe (European royal houses)…
I disagree that this should be the case, especially since holy sites show up in every continent now. Africa has Sufis and Jesuits, South America has Jesuits as well, and a few European maps have Tengris. There’s no reason why Asian maps should get only holy sites besides nostalgia for TAD’s weird stereotypes (which isn’t a good justification). Besides, all the maps I mentioned are on the Europe/Asia border, so that’s more reason for them to have Asian natives as well.
idk… i mean basically every european dynasty can be linked somehow to any area in europe xD
for Wasa there would be the same argumentation u gave for the jagiellones, since the polish king Johann II. Kasimir was from the house of Wasa. He lost huge areas - some of them in the area of the aoe muscovy map- to the russians… but thats just me googeling ^^’
Edit: the muscovy map also includes the area arround st. petersburg, once being part of sweden
Wettin could be just a bugg… they are not included in the map description, but i had access to them in 1/6 games on caucasus
Ah, it seemed to me…because Wettin is the house of Saxony and I thought when Wettin ruled Russia?..
Ah well, yes, maybe they will divide it later… the north of the Caucasus would be this map, the map of Georgia would be less mountainous and would have Phanariotes and then the south of the Caucasus would be more desertic and would have Sufi…It seems that after these maps comes an Asian dlc with Persians and Uzbeks or Omanis
I dream of a Georgia map with vines instead of berry bushes - this would also be good for new maps from the Mediterranean, France and Argentina.
I hope so. Central Asian DLC adding Persians civ, Arabians civ (mix of Mamluk Sultanate, Oman and other Arab powers) and Tatars civ (mix of Mongol and Turkic peoples).
Of course, although I doubt that they put 3 civs of one in a dlc, although in the last dlc of DoI they put 3 civs plus the rework of the Indians; so anything can be…the 3 civs dlcs of AoE 3 are missed. …
I completely disagree with you both, there will be more European maps as the world map hints (Wales, Gibraltar, Balearic Islands and maybe Iceland and Greenland) whether you like it or not. Doesn’t matter which continent gets as long as we get new maps overall, tho still no single map from Oceania.
I too would prefer a separate civ for Mamluks/Egyptians and Arabs from the Arabian peninsula - but let’s be realistic. Both such civs would be great, but it’s rather unlikely that wgl will ever be made. The case is similar with the Mongolian and Turkic peoples, but maybe in this situation it would be simpler - two civilizations: the Mongols and the Tatars.
Uzbeks, Golden Horde, Timurid Empire, Kazakhs, Tatars - it’s a huge amount of content only about Turkic peoples that could be contained in a few civs, but I think unfortunately we can’t count on such a huge amount of civs from Central Asia.
Tartars and Mongols I think could be two civs representing this region of Asia. The rest of the huge nations could be represented by Minor Civilizations and stuff for these two civs.
I never said that I didn’t want more European maps, I said that they weren’t going to add more European maps until the Baltic dlc, but although more European maps for me, excellent…
And about Oceania, maybe they’ll save it for an Oceania dlc…because it’s not like there’s too much territory to be able to make maps, since it’s practically all sea…
They have to include Persia, that is, you have it both in its prequels and in its spinoff sequel and it was also a gunpowder empire that was among empires that are already in the game… Persia and Poland are a must-have…
The Last Khans covered this area quite well in AoE 2…I think with Uzbeks/Kazakhs and Crimean Tatars (or simply Tatars) it would be fine as dlc…Mongols for the pre-modern era were already a shadow of what they once were were…
Also, I think Ryukyuans could maybe be playable, but I wonder if they could work as a minor civ if you make enough maps based on the Okinawan archipelago.
