Expecting more new vegetation with new DLC

One of the best part of Three Kingdoms DLC is the new Chinese vegetation. It has breathe in a new life into the maps of the game.

I hope the new upcoming DLC brings even more new map trees and plants.

Well since we’re almost certainly getting a new South Asian civ, we are going to be getting new vegetarians in it :stuck_out_tongue:

Anything equivalent to Panda Hill that can be added?

Yeah, I say the same thing… the new vegetation makes AoE 2’s maps feel more alive, with a lot more wildlife here and there that could help with immersion…

Islands with turtles, they give you 20 gold if you catch them…

Wolf Den…gives you 150 gold if you destroy it, but it will attack you with wolves…

Forgotten Ruins…you send a villager to mine it, giving you 3600 stone for 6 minutes…after which the ruin expires and gives you a relic…

Isnt this the same as oysters? Just making the oysters a base game thing will fix this.

Give us yaks, hippos, giraffes and dogs as units. Hyenas too. Maybe more Indian wildlife like Nilgai and blackbuck as huntables.

We already have turtles that give food, why would we also have turtles that give gold?

Also are these suggestions from AoE4?

They are AOE-3 turtles, and they are not a huntable animal as such, they are a treasure.

It’s incredible how all the games have endless flora and fauna elements, except for AOE-4.

The fauna in the older games is overabundant, and in AOE-4, there are only about three types of trees, and the fauna is ultra-limited, and there aren’t even any birds.

Yes, similar… but those are oysters, here we would see turtles (it could also be a reskin)…

Yes, all the fauna we see in AoE 3 in general…

These animals can be hunted for food.

These animals can be killed but do not give any food. Prior to the Definitive Edition, they could be controlled after being tamed by a Native American War Chief.

Herdable

These animals can be captured and controlled by players, and give food when killed.

Aquatic

These animals live in the waters. They can be fished for food or coin.

Pets

These animals are controlled by players and can be killed, but do not give any food.

For having variety…

Also…AoE 4 has 6 measly animals…it makes you depressed..

Yes, that’s why I told them to give you some gold…

Yes, with AoE 3 you are completely amazed by the variety of animal types you see… obviously it can affect your replayability a bit at first when you are learning to play, but after you get used to it, it becomes very immersive, that’s why I always loved the AoE 3 maps more than those of 2… you can play alone against the AI and roleplay a bit…

Yeah, you’re all relaxed with your colony and out of nowhere a T-Rex pops up… nothing a good cannon shot can’t fix…

These images are from the original, non-remastered game, so there was already a lot of variety from the start.
