Feedback about new DLC. some ideas

Hi there! I have never written in this forum before so im quite new on this thing, but this new patch has gotten me very excited  yay! I really love this new content, keep up the good work guys! Anyways I have some ideas that I hope you can add to the new dlc and patch (some are small visual changes but others are minor civs and revolutions that other people have already ask for)

Visual Changes (and voicelines)
Acorbetado: i like this unit and specially the portuguese themed shield he has (keep it plz), but the rider is identical to the elmetti’s (except for the horse, wich I think its from the scrapped guard elmetto. i also like it so keep it hehe). So my idea is to change it to the cut unupgraded elmetti. another thing that should be changed is his voice wich stills uses the elmetti’s, my idea is for the acorbetado to use the Age of Empires 2 Portuguese Voicelines

Deluge Cossack: So I was playing the “The Deluge” Historical map with the new polish civ, and I couldnt help but notice the special deluge cossack unit that spawns in this scenario, I like the unit, but I dont like the fact that he uses the darevil cossack model (specially considering the fact that in this scenario you would likely use the darevil cossack). So my idea is to have him use a the tabor cossack rider’s model (and maybe he can have a little cosack hat from the serdyuk or the veteran cossack for more colour, idk but it would be charming  ). It should be noted that he uses the regular russian cossack voicelines, wich frankly i dont mind (but maybe he could use the aoe2 slavs voicelines wich are in some archai-ish russian or the bulgarian one’s that i think are in russian too, i dont know why)

Gallowglass: i suggest to change his voice to morgan black voicelines (maybe with the pitch a bit lowered or a bit increased). Right now he uses the celtic voice lines from aoe2 that the scottish clansman also uses, so it would work to differentiate it and make the gallowglass more special and different
Hospitaler: i suggest him to have the aoe2 sicillian voicelines to add more personality to the unit (and I also dont like the fact the he reutilizes the doppelsodner voice lines, as he is a another heavy infantry unit with a sword). But also because malta is quite close to sicilly and the order historically recieved a lot of support and influence from the sicillian kingdom
Cranequier: i suggest that he should use the burgundian voicelines from aoe2 as the unit itself is quite archaic (and he also utilizes the same voicelines of the Royal Guard/Garde du Corps heavy cavalry Mercenary)
Mapuche Bolas Rider: I reccomend to use the mapuche voicelines from aoe2 to add more distinction and differentiate him from the infantry clubman
Conquistador: I would like him to use the aoe2 spanish voicelines because the unit itself is something of a nod to the original aoe2 conquistador unit and it would be quite charming
Royal Arquebusier: it would be cool if his hat was changed (to the dutch explorer’s) to match his unit portrait

Teutonic Grandmaster: maybe he can have the teutonic king voicelines from aoe2 or uhlan’s (with the pitch lowered)
Knight Brother: i would be lovely if he uses different voicelines than the blacknight, for example the uhlan, the german culverin
Order Musketer: he should use one of the under-utilized voicelines like the war wagon’s
(*I also noted that when you spawn the order crossbowman in the editor, he uses the pavisier skin, can you fix this plz??)
Mongol Explorer: this unit is in this game since Asian Dynasties, a i always feel it was a bit forgotten, so why not giving him the aoe2 mongol voicelines and show him we love him?) (maybe it can be reworked idk, that would be lovely too)
(*there is also an “irishbrigadier” and a “mercirishbrigadier” in the editor that are separate units with the same stats and skins, can you plz give the unused one the wild geese skin so it can be easily spotted and usable plz?)

New Units
I saw zeppelino24 suggesting a pikeman replacement for the Livonian Revolution, called Ranseur, that would come in a “teuton anti-cavalry” shipment that replaces the pikeman and the dragoon (for a cranequier). It would be an archaic medieval-looking anti calvary infantry lancer i guess (check his idea plz)

There are a lot of new models now that can be used to make more outlaws and add variety to the maps, like this trapper/poacher (maybe he could use beaumont voice lines) for example, or this tengri guard (he could use aoe2 tatar voicelines), or the plague doctor, among others (in the picture below)

(The one on the forefront)

New Natives
Irish minor civ: why not? i mean there are already some units in the editor like this clansman javeline rider or the bonnagh

Medici: Please :sob:  (very influential and the game lacks a proper italian royal house so
)
Borgia: Please :sob:  (as influential as the medici if not more. It is an spanish-italian royal house so i clearly see them working in a lot of maps)

New Revolutions
Greeks
Jacobites (considering the new Stuart Royal House and “War of the Three Kingdom” scenario assets. why not?)
Cromwell (same as above)
Serbia
Pirates (Replacing haiti for brittish and also it would be nice to have the dutch with this rev) check SirBarnzy1 idea plz, its really charming

Cossack Revolution for Russia?
Honestly, a part of me would like to have russia revolt as the hetmanate, but rn the rev is very zaporizhian themed, so i dont really know if it would be a good idea, SirBarnzy1 suggested that maybe russians could have a replacement like the Don cossacks or some tatar khanate such as crimean, or kazakhs or the chechenian immanate. Maybe the cossack rev, should be a bit reworked to be a more general cossack revolt. Frankly i dont know

New Consulate options for Asian Civs:
Danish, Swedish, Italian, Usa (maybe even Prussia or napoleonic France) i mean, why not?

New RG, Rev and other miscelaneous units for editor and custom maps: It would be really cool to have some of those special upgrades as separate editor-only units  For people that make custom historical scenarios or risks maps. (such as the napoleonic musketer and dragon for example, but there are plenty more examples like these ones)

*I would REALLY LOVE if more singleplayer content was made :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: (like campaings or historical Battles)

*English is not my first language so i really hope i made myself clear in this :smiling_face_with_tear:

Anyways, Thanks for reading and have a nice day
(plz read this, devs )

Oh I forgot about these ones  : I also think the Lenape (wich are currently only available in unknown and a historical battle) and a new haida minor civ should be added as new natives.
I also was thinking of maybe using the somewhat old “Beduin Horse Archer” (from the algiers and Al Qasr Qibir Historical Battles) as a new outlaw that could be used in some african and some asian maps
There is an unused celtic villager attack voiceline that the Lowlander could use

Yes, those should have been included in the Mediterranean DLC, and the Houses of Oldenburg and Jagiellon in this Baltic DLC

Does anyone know what units these are? I can’t identify them.

I’d love a Haida minor civ (followed by a full Tlingit native Civ eventually, right  )

Shouldn’t that be flipped? Haida were the more powerful of the two.

From my research Haida and Tlingit people were fairly equal in power, especially as they occupied different regions so it was fairly balanced. Tlingit occupied a much larger area with better infrastructure (they had some impressive forts and houses) and were excellent land/river traders whilst the Haida were better coastal raiders and sea-going traders.

Personally I actually prefer the Haida as were more aggressive and daring with their viking like raids (raiding the Californian coast / stealing Euro ships), so from that yeah, let’s flip it

Both used armour, had totems, and held potlatches so that would add to the richness of a PNW tribe in general.

I’d love to see some more PNW maps in addition, with new Minor Civs - Coast Salish with their little ‘wool’ dogs as their sheep counterparts or the Chinook and their Elk-hide armoured warriors.

It probably could go either way. Haida had the edge in warring, boatbuilding, and population (though they got hit harder by diseases later on so there’s way fewer of them today). While the Tlingit had a bigger geographical realm and some notable conflicts with the Russians. Potential campaign / historical battles would be the most compelling reason to favour Tlingit.

Haida, Tlingit, and Tsimshian all had a virtually identical material culture, but completely different languages so there’s no good way to make them into an umbrella civ.

Yeah, I’d rather them veer away from an umbrella PNW civ and stick with say Haida - that way you could have some sort of Potlach system where you could involve Tsimshian, Tlingit, etc in alliance (Minor Civ native warriors), research techs, bonuses, etc.

1) Alert Sound “Outside” the game, to notify you that a match has started

This game has queue times of sometimes 20 or 30 minutes. And you’re not going to be waiting around like crazy for a match to become available or for 8 people to join a 4v4. Usually, you’re going to listen to music, watch TV shows, read articles or books, whatever, to kill time, but if you get too distracted, the match can start in 1 or 2 minutes, and you won’t even know it.

There should be a sound alert or the game icon should light up in the taskbar when a match starts, so you know and can switch from the browser or something else to the game.

We recently had an 8v8 game, but the original creator was AFK and didn’t want to start it. If there were a way to notify him or at least get his attention outside of the game, it would be great. But that didn’t happen, and we had to cancel the game; everyone left.

This mechanism already exists in AoE4 and AoM:RE, so it should be implement in AoE3.

Which skirmisher are you referring to—the standard skirmisher, or one from a specific civilization?
