This graphic shows pretty well what It’s happening with streamers and players
And i agree with some point (as i Always said and It has been a controversial argument): twich viewers are necessarly not buyers because much people Simply follow their favourite streamers but not have any interest in the game.
This Is the reason i was Saying that a Great graphic, technological innovations (rtx, pop.cap. etc.), Realistic animations and more would were necessary to reach the casual players Who have interest to play single player and skirmish.
In 2001 internet was barely a thing in many countries, for instance in Costa Rica I knew about AOM 2 years later… If AOM were released today it will destroy age IV numbers…
Not sure what to say. Check his streams or any GL streams. No aoe4 in sight. Feel free to just lie if you like. I hope aoe4 lives and thrives, we are in the same boat. It just isn’t looking good right now.
There was a previous post about him quitting age 4 which was false. I think he has temporarily gone back to age 2 now though until patch comes or a tourney.
Exactly… they flip it til it fits the narrative, showing complete disrespect for the content creator.
I still like watching people’s content about AOE4. That doesn’t make it a good game. It just speaks for the content creator’s ability to make something entertaining out of it and shows that even the bare minimum of an RTS game can be worth watching
First of all , I don’t agree , Ir aom is so good it could have better numbers than Aoe4 these days , like aoe2 . but they don’t , and the internet now is fine so your point makes no sense , also as I said , I’m done here and won’t respond anymore
Extended edition of AOM is broken/unplayable, you can’t even play multiplayer because of the lag/shuttering, comeptitive players use original AOM to play…
AoM should thread carefully and think step by step
Doing something just for the sake of doing it and with no quality and care it needs, would give another Tale of the Dragon effort.
Its completely different than making civs.
If this is true, why is IEM Katowice gave away $250,000 tournament prize last year and would provide $500,000 prize this year for StarCraft2?
There is a lot of RTS players/audiences in there. There’s not much RTS games in the market. War3 Reforge failure is caused by Activision mismanagement.
AoE4 is a refreshing RTS that is not StarCraft2. It has missing some features but the game is playable. I am having fun on it right now after playing StarCraft2 for years. If Leenock, Marinelord and Serral of SC2 are playing this game, I would play it too.
I’m not sure where you got that figures from, but for games concepted as GaaS, this won’t hold. R6S for example had an underwhelming release, but is now basically solo carrying Ubisoft. And as far as I know, AoE4 is also planned as a GaaS.
