File Error 12

I know it is an already known bug, but i can’t resolve it and i would like to play.

Game Version:

  • **Build: Capture1
  • **Platform: Steam
  • **Operating System: Windows 10
  • Gamertag: replaceme

Issue:

When I launch the game, it doesn’t start and said file error 12

Reproduction Steps:

Here’s how to reproduce the problem:

  1. Start the game
  2. Crash file error 12

or

  1. launch using AoE2DE_s.exe
  2. crash file error 12 and SteamAPI_RestartApplfNecessary() has been triggered. Aborting startup
