Hello Agers! So, out of nowhere, MS decided to add LotW, DotD, and DoI to the base game, thus increasing its cost, but anyone who has not owned any of these 3 will receive them for free.

That seems like a pretty reasonable change.
Half of each DLCs price is added to the base game (5$ instead of 10$) making it much easier to buy in now.
If you can’t afford the increased price you have to wait for a sale. I mean anyone who hasn’t bought the game now can surely wait another month for the Christmas Sale, right?
I think the secret main reason is because they don’t want to have 15$ DLC next to 10$ DLC like Dynasties of India which offers the most content of any AoE2DE DLC so far.

Not showing extra price here. I’m from Bangladesh. Can be a regional pricing. IDK.
Yeah, what a letdown. The bundle itself is fantastic, but I think removing the base game for purchase is a mistake. A lot of people don’t really care about DLC and this is just going to help dissuade them from getting the definitive edition.

That’s a very good guess. So they are already working on another 15$ DLC I guess.
BTW, checked MS store as well. I bit confusing. 2 separate pages there. One with 20$ and another with 35$. Both say LOTW, DOTD and DOI are included.

Hello For some reason i did not get the free dlcs, I bought the game on Microsoft Store/PC, but the DLCs dont show up!
Unfortunately I already had all three

MS’s instruction to contact support is just obscure.

UPDATE II: No issue still persists - Game tells me to purchase DLC:(

No Brasil isso foi uma péssima medida. O jogo saiu de um preço padrão de R$ 36,99 para R$ 89,99. Muito caro para o padrão do país. Não me afeta pois ja tenho o jogo e essas DLCs, mas ainda assim, fica claro que não foi uma boa ideia.
Have y’all fixed the issue where the menu themes are muted?
Dont see what the point of this is honestly. It will just deter potential new players from trying the game now that its more expensive
