First anniversary of AOE2DE ! what do you want?

Italians and Vikings are a problem on water maps.
On open maps aggressive civs have an edge, but it’s not a big problem. They don’t utterly dominate. Also there are a lot of ‘aggressive’ civs.
I don’t really understand hybrid maps well enough to comment on Japanese.
I’m consistent in this sense: I don’t like if a small number of civs dominate a map-type.

no-one goes into a noobs BF game thinking “I hope my opponents will raid the everloving daylight out of me before I get my upgrades”. You have to respect your opponents.

You seem to really misunderstand what I said about elephants. They are too strong in situations where population efficiency really matters, and as a direct consequence they are too weak in situations where population efficiency doesn’t matter.

Specifics are hard, and I don’t think I could give a good comprehensive proposal, but the main lines would be:

  • all elephants are 2 pop
  • all elephants stats are buffed
  • (maybe) reduce elephant bonus damage from pikes/halbs
  • (maybe) increase elephant price
  • (maybe) reduce EBE PA from 3 to 2 (though that’s beyond the proper scope of this proposal)
  • edit: also give them some conversion resistance (maybe)
