I’m very new here and am enjoying looking around.
I noticed that there is a choice of themes, Age Legacy and Age IV, and wondered if this is an area of active development for the Forum?
Just personal preference. Legacy used to be way nicer then they glitched it out after the new AoEIV theme was released. Legacy isn’t glitched anymore from what I can see but they changed it a lot, it’s brighter and no where near as nice as it was.

I did find using Legacy a little difficult so switched back almost straight away.
I really like the idea of theming the forum in line with titles from the franchise, though.

The way the new forum formats messages with quotes and sub-quotes, etc. is not as good as old version
Also, new version is nearly impossible to see the icons under your avatar:

I see what you mean, a little more contrast would make a big difference there.
If theme development ever comes up I’d put myself forward to help out, I’m not a design expert by any means but am interested in that sort of thing.

While I also think, that the aoe4 design is very depressing.

In fairness, I usually struggle with reading text on any kind of dark background but am not having so much trouble here. Dark Mode on Android system is an absolute no-no for example.
