Hi!
My rig is: Xeon X2650 V2 + 64gb DDR3 + GTX 1070ti
My bench result is: 1000 and the game is not running with good frame latency
I see in task manager, the game is using only 1 of my 8 (not threads) cores… Any solution?
THX!

The game runs on one core. So its the same for everyone.
But 1 core… is impossible carry one gtx 1070ti with 1 $%#^@& Core! =(
I know man :). Many people have talked about this.
StarCraft 2 have the same “problem” and Blizzard say in his fórum: Is very hard do one RTS using many cores or threads… have a BIG post about this subject in there.
It is assumed that AoE 2 DE uses the same graphic engine as AoE DE? however the AoE DE moves smoothly, while the AoE 2 DE goes with lag
Same here… AOE1 DE is running fine, but the 2 DE is horrible performance! Lets see the futures patches.
That’s why i never pre buy a game… I hope this will fixed in 9 patch.
But in BETA the game does not bad.
I have to disagree with Pimbox, the game was unplayable in beta for me. same issues persist despite complaints for months. refund the game until its fixed
Others have reported performance gains by disabling hyperthreading in your BIOS. Worth a try to see if it helps for you.
how weird… I got a score of 1097 on a i7-7700HQ and a 1050Ti 16GB of DDR4 laptop.
It’s even better taking into account that my laptop’s fan doesn’t start spinning when I play the game, something that happens in many other games. It’s a very quiet experience, which I love.
Its a 20 yr old game.
Try disabling enhanced graphics if you have that enabled.
I will try, thx for the tip.
Disabling EG up 10% FPS =(
Well at least they got the pathing right.
what does EG stand for?
Enhanced Graphic Pack… Download it as DLC free. Very nice pack.
okay, thanks! Gotta try it! But I love the graphics as they are now. The 60 fps are a sight to behold, and I haven’t tried on my 4k monitor yet.
