Germany OP this patch

Dude this thread is not about treaty…how can you just walk in and assume everyone is talking about treaty

Wrong place…the post is about brit vs ger in normal game…here comes you talking about german and frwnch in treaty…

Another account created less than an hour ago… This is getting ridiculous
Edit: since I posted, another 5 brand new accounts liked Revnak’s post.

What have the moderators concluded in their thorough investigation? I assume they have checked the ip address of all these new accounts and should they be the same all of them should be banned.

@M1kazuki6861 There is no name-calling or disrespect on this forum and I’m starting to see it from a number of different users. So either comment with respect or action will be taken.

@OriginalKnot717 There has already been a decision on this issue. We will continue to follow this.

Germany is a pretty average civ overall in my opinion. It has quite a poor age 2 with no musks and pretty much just a tower rush that is nothing special. Age up to commerce is not particularly fast either.

Germany is a 1 trick pony, everyone knows what germany will do which is 99% of the time a standard semi-ff, 2SW/3SW/700g/700w into unit shipment spam. The other 1% of the time it is fortress age merc spam. Either way the deck easily reveals exactly what they are doing.
Water as germany is unheard of and with thousands of games played I think I may have seen a german player build a dock once.

Germany has some strong economic shipments with basically an extra villager in age 1 and age 2 compared to standard shipments, the bonus starts scaling very early so it is strong. How do you compare this to other civs economic bonuses though? Brit can build a few houses in transition which they will need anyway for military pop and even with just 4 or 5 built they’ve eclipsed the 2 extra vills germany got from their shipments and germans themselves need the houses fast or they get pop blocked by the free uhlans.
In pure resource value the free uhlans are great however not broken at all imo, if they were hussars then that may be the case but uhlans lose to most other age 2 cavalry units and only really serve for raiding. The 10% xp penalty is also significant.

Comparing the performance of germany last patch and this patch they were at 50.94% and 50.03% win rate respectively, though this patch has relatively few games played. This is a middle of the pack win rate if it were op you’d expect to see above average win rates across elo ranges for several patches as was seen with sweden and china for many months.
In summary germany has a very strong and perhaps even overwhelming fortress age but on the other hand it has a non-existent age 2, no real option to go water and as I said before it is so obvious what they will do, even vs spain it can be hard to tell if they will do a marvelous year boom, standard ff or fi revolt. Vs germany it will just be FF into shipping uhlans/skirms and then jaegers/black riders. The lack of 2 falcs is also significant especially vs an opponent who walls up or spams buildings as skirm/uhlan doesn’t do particularly well vs towers and forts or even just 2 falcs behind a wall.

This is what the OP has posted before btw…so according to him, not just Germans, but Indians, Chinese, Japan, inca are all OP….basically he will create such a post after he loses a game to that civ

I played AOE3 for years now but I’m done now. game is too imbalanced and not worth switching to the OP civs. Every single game vs. brits plays the exact same now so its extremely boring. guess I will be back if they change anything to improve british but sadly right now they just can’t compete.

You played aoe3 for years and still only played one civ? 21

Rage quit because my civ is nerfed and not op anymore…so sad it is not as broken as a few years ago

Brit is actually really good now imo, the greenwich time card remains mostly slept on and the ranger fi is so strong.

Brits have no ability except longbow mass at age 2 to defend the flood of units that comes with Germany, china, inca, ottoman, and even then it’s brutal - if you’re not killed, the flood of units will wrap around your base preventing a third hunt or other gold mine bc half the maps are in deserts, and you’ll fall economically behind while their flood of units builds and they get cannons or bola siege throwers. Every single game is like this now.

Well what amazing unit do the germans have to defend in age 2? Crossbow? I’d much rather have longbow than xbow and you have musk as well. Germans don’t even have cannon shipment but you do.

How does a player like sir callen seem to win constantly with brits by sitting in base all game? His opponents are also of much higher elo than yours are.

At this point you either need to post some recs of your games so we can see what is happening and help you or you’ll most likely just continue crying as you have done thus far.

The balance team should offer an official statement regarding this subject

No. They really shouldn’t.
