Give this fort to Franks

The devs said they looked at other sources and found more legitimate ones. I don’t know where though.

Unless they can produce the sources they found (which NO ONE ELSE has been able to find, mind you), then I’m inclined to doubt them.

Speaking of which, there’s a graphics mod I managed to find that I’m currently using which replaces all unique building foundations with the old generic ones. Maybe you can incorporate that if you haven’t already.

Just give everyone a unique castle, unique monks, unique monasteries (would love a Buddhist one instead of the Hindu for maybe a Tai civ), regional units. To make it easy for people who complain about readablility, add a toggle mode or a classic mode where there is only the AoK civs haha.

Another suggestion is to make wonders not tied to any civ for scenario editor. What I would give for a pub, apartments, arch bridges and AoE houses to make my cities feel ancient. (Off topic but lol).

Your argument is correct.

I’m just saying that currently East Asian castles are a mix of Japanese castles and Chinese gatehouses.
I long for the Japanese to pursue a castle that truly belongs to them, just like other civs.

In that case, are you sure Bengalis Castle is Lalbag Fort. I don’t really see it.

You mean Javanese Borobudur Ship which is Malay UI icon?

As Apocalypso and SMUM kinda implied, the Thirisadai name comes from a falacious Wikipedia article which was debunked in the time between the announcement of the unit and the release of DoI, and the design is based on a relief inside the Borobudur temple, located in Java, way too far from India to justify using that design.

I didn’t add that information. In fact, I have no idea what the Bengali Castle is representing, other than generic Bengali brick architecture.

I do not add such details though

This was “added” by me, after some Bangladeshi from OrnLu’s discord suggested the similarity. Either this, or he himself added, and I corrected the wordings.

Instead of mentioning a specific fort (Lalbag) you can write Bengali Castle is having fortification styles (wall texture) from Gauda/Lakhnauti (Old Capital of Bengal). It is also having the Bengali Chala Roof Style. But it is also having Chhatri Architecture Element borrowed from West India introduced into Bengal by the Mughals in late 17th Century. The wall also has some very little traces of lapis lazuli blue paint borrowed from Persia. Restructure the above sentences a little to increase readability. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe add information about this Omitted French Castle from LotW and Changed Bengali Wonder Trees from DoI into the Wiki as well into the DLC Trivia information.

And as another Bangladeshi I hardly see any resemblance.

Due to some family functions, I shall be busy for 5 days. Plus it’s a wiki - you can add it yourself. Narve shall correct the wordings.

While we’re talking about the Franks, can the Franks get a Frankish Paladin as a UU?
