and yet you call that “almost nothing”. please. i’ve seen pro games end with less favorable trades.
you heard it hear first though guys - from parthnan himself. pros can give better feedback on a change while not testing the change, then they can while actually testing the game.
And all those armies from low ELO plebs came in one by one, vs 40+ Elephant Archers with Viper micro. 2 armies out of those even fled way showing respect to TheViper. Leaving Viper free to attack TCs with the EA.

To be honest i really dont think that the one off use of a unit by a pro shows that unit to be viable…
Mtcauthon claims steppe lancers have been seing use in kotd. Could you tell me those games? I highly suspect knights would have been doing just as well in those situations.
That one match where viper was using hand cannons with a massive lead against an infantry civ and without arbs also doesnt proof too much.
and just because elephant archers have been seen take decent Engagements once doesnt make them useful either. 40 arbs are a deadly force. 40 arbs that are tanky are of course too… But when do you ever get to 40 elephant archers. They still dont have a role. Thats what all these units have in common. I really hoped the nerf to indian cavalry would have come with them getting arbalest and that would have solved the problem of the EA. But like this it remains as a unit without a role, thereby being useless.
