I have aoe DE installed on two machines, but if i want to export my custom hotkeys to the other pc, how could i do that? I Couln`t find any hotkey file in aoe DE folder. It is really disappointing rebuilding all hotkeis… Thanks
You’ll need to copy the .HKI file on the source machine to the target machine.
Just paste the following path into explorer to get the player1_1.hki file:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MSDallas_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Games\Age of Empires DE\Config
If the accounts on both pc’s are the same it should sync I think.
Still an hotkey export/import button would be nice though.
this file doesnt exist at my PC. what else can i do?
Is this question about AOE I DE or about AOE II DE?
Also they changed some things in newer builds. I would check somewhere below C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Games
folder now. Actually these settings should sync through your MS account. But export and import functionality would be nice. It might not even help to copy and replace those files at another computer if loading settings from cloud is mandatory.
Yes, but my answer was to @Kerit5827 as he quoted me and that answer still applies. I think it’s impossible to do at the moment afaic. With old version possible indeed.
yeah exactly, i found it there:
C:\Users’your name’\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\76561198435730202\profile
Just to add to this conversation, for the steam version I was able to found it in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\77348933\1017900\remote
Thank you, partner! This answers my recent question
