How to get the new strings from key-value-strings to actually show up in game?

I have this custom technology for a custom civ with the correct details in the key-value-strings file (as seen below as an example)

[I had an image here showing the custom Tech entry with filled in strings, and also an image of one of those strings in my key-value-strings file, but new users can only have one image at a time]

However, when I actually go into the game and hover over the technology, it only shows the cost:

What exactly could be the problem here? I also have the language file locations in AGE pointing at my custom key-value-strings files
