Wait it becomes greyed? So can you still manually cast the effect or no?
No. Itâs just gone as an ability. You canât use it anymore, neither manually nor automatically. But Prelates seem to occasionally inspire infight and inspired Landsknechts are actually pog, if the get close. Which they still usually donât (114 hp fully upgraded), but if they do, it is at least funny and even somewhat satisfying. Until you realize again that this unit still is an auxilary wimp.
Now I regret my purshase, whatâs happening with relic? They use to do good games, now I cannot play with my fav civ HRE until new patch, also springalds still dominating the game, how boring
Yes, Prelateâs still bugging. I wish I had the energy at this point to create a proper bug report, but well⌠itâs just not going to be worth writing it up.
Whatever. Happened to me after I garrisoned/ungarrisoned villagers in the TC. The tooltip treated them as military units.
HRE can hang on like a cockroach in imp. Against Mongols anyway.
This is just amazing:
Not only does the Prelate still bug out, the HRE seems to be one of two civs whose spearmen actually do not brace at all anymore. HRE and Delhi are hands down unplayable on this new build and they will stay that way for months if Relic does not go ahead and hotfix this shiat asap.
I am so done with this game, although I want to desperately enjoy it. This is fooking bullshiat! FUCKING BULLSHIT!
I remember that when I bought SC2 on day one, it has 0 critical bugs, 0 issues with good optimization, but that game was on beta for months⌠It was super tested age IV we only had a stress test for 1 week lol
Yeah, I believe it was in a 6 months beta. Or even longer. And there were several Blizzard beta tournaments. But with Activision Blizzard lost all their quality in that regard as well. They still probably have a better QA structure.
I had Grubby testing the Spearmen bug for HRE. Here are two clips:
Edit: The brace bug was acknowledge by a staff member and they should be looking into it soon. I hope there will be quick fixes. If you check the other thread I linked earlier, you will find it closed by a microsoft employee saying:
âThank you for bringing this to our attention allâweâre looking into it!â
I can only add myself to the other opinions. There good written and the HRE is missing one or two special units to get them a own identity.
landmarkwise and from the gameplan its âokâ. You always play one Setup of Landmarks and its very predictable but strong. But unitwise its boring af.
Addet to that is the bracing from the Spearman broken like Jaysus04 reported allready before me. HRE should have a âbetterâ Spearman but hes useless atm.
The first thing I had in mind when reading the pathetic patch note one-liner for HRE was you and this thread ^^

How can that behaviour have such different buggy states depending on the chosen civ? Why does it work for attack move now? Was that the desired behavior from the beginning? All those questionsâŚ
Can we please have parts of the spaghetti code released? Iâd pay for that as a DLC. You know, for its educational value. Who needs mod tools at this point? x]
Aww, thatâs sweet.

I am also baffled by the nature of some bugs. Especially this one. Why are spearmen, which are a baseline unit, broken only for some civs? That code really must be a mess.

I feel like the RUS Streltsy would have been a perfect unique unit for the HRE. It boggles my mind a little bit why the RUS get the unique gunpowder infantry.
Taking a break can sometimes help make it more enjoyable later
I thought about it too. I thing a âlighterâ version would be amazing for the HRE like musketier´s (okay funny because they should be french). A quick gunpowder unit with light meele capability. U could micro with it in contrast to ur relativly slow MAA´s
HRE really should have gotten the unique Ritterbruder, a poleaxe upgrade for spears (reduces their attack range slightly but gives them bonus damage vs armored units along with their bonus vs cav), and the Lands should have gotten not only a buff(since they where never unarmored historically) and should have been the first unit to spawn as a randomizer, example: Has a chance spawning with Zweihandler (bonus vs infantry with AoE), Pike (Extended attack range, bonus vs cav), and Gun (Similar to Streltsy) but with not as much melee attack, but more armor. So in theory you could build an entire army of Lands to be your primary unit, and they could technically counter everything but siege, however you cannot control what it counters, and itâs base price would still be high, since those elite warriors where not cheap. So really relying on this version of Lands would be more of an endgame finisher instead of a unit you train in a pinch to counter your enemies mass of a specific unit in the Castle Age.
We payed full price for that game/product. So it isnt realy a option say that someone should stop until the game is in a finished state. This wasnt early access or somethingâŚ
I understand the frustration, which i think comes from having high hopes.
But if you buy a skateboard and are miserable riding it, why not return, gift it, or just put it on the shelf for a few weeks? I wouldnât keep playing if i was having such a poor time.
I´m loving the game in general and my frustration comes from high hopes yes but there a serveral points that makes it realy bad.
Why is the âbalanceâ patch a 20 days old build? The developer didnt consider whats going on in the ladder or tournements. The maps are still so inbalanced competetive and fun wise. Some games are lost by spawning in the game and this is a problem u can see if u simply load 10 times in the same map and u would see that its not fair.
They are even saying that they know that springalds and mongols for example are off the shard broken and then they nerf the HRE´s emergency repair when they even not can use it on there T4 Landmarks? This isnt constant or reasonable.
This doesnt work. If i buy a skateboard and i cant ride it, its my own fault and I need to practise. This product isnt finished from the start. This is totaly diffrent.
Because everything has to go through the grinding gears of some QA process (yes, the same system which let the game breaking bugs through in the first place). You canât just take the last nightly build and slap it onto steam.
Thatâs also my theory why the springald and mongol+french superiority (hon hon hon) did not really get addressed. They lag behind by design.
Not sure why they didnât delay it to add that new knowledge though. Guess they prioritized throwing something out the window asap over actually balancing things.
