I dont like the Bulgarian Cavalier being better than the Malian one

Disagree on the last part. Champskarls are nice but I dont think they are as good as Bagains THS

The crossbows are without bracer and the only thing I would say that its good from the siege workshop is the bombard cannon (the onagers are okay but I would rather have onagers with SE)

If you got champions your taking down buidings and trash. That means the most likely counter is skirms and hussar. Champions with extra pa will melt those units and be better at tanking castle and tc fire. That is far more likely then someone trying to continue to run pikes and hussar and still deal with castle and and tc fire. Siege ram is nice to have and at a discount but upgrading to siege onager is expensive. I would prefer bbc over it frequently.

The Bulgarian militia deal with all units but archers far far better and siege rams can deal with the buildings.

Siege engineers, the discount and siege ram are the big things there. I would much rather have those over bombard cannon

Bulgarians dont get champions

The same. The Bulgarian militia line is just a far better unit at melee

If the Malians lategame were to be buffed, they would be the civ that has nearly no downsides whatsoever.

The Malians do better than the Bulgarians in Dark, Feudal, AND Castle Age. The Bulgarians can have their late Imperial advantage.

I dont want to buff Malians, I just want to nerf Bulgarians in having a tech that its better in every way than Farimba when they already have amore versatile and overall stronger late game.

It would still be the same really. The hussars would just be slightly worse (but would still be the best hussars of the game) and the Konniks would be the same. They would just do Cavaliers a unit they almostnever use and its more or less the same even with the nerf that would lose to Malians

I still don’t get why you overfocus on comparing Malian and Bulgarian late game, I feel like you could argue for your point without mentioning that. Ig you could make stirrups more expensive and bagains cheaper or something, but they likely won’t as stirrups is essential for konniks, and many people love to find an excuse to not use cav UUs. There are legit people who think konniks are bad, so imagine if they up the upgrade cost.

Well, there’s literally no point in changing this:

  • Malians are by far the better civ in 1v1 arabia between the two
  • Malians are by far the better hybrid map civ between the two
  • Bulgarians are by far the better closed map civ between the two

One of the civ is a really good early and mid game civ, the other a way better late game civ.

They don’t. Farimba cavalry is still an amazing option and there’s absolutely no need to nerf stirrups just because it’s a bit better on cavalier. Remember that atm farimba camels trade even with imperial camels, so if you badly need something that beats cavaliers you have them.

Because Vikings are so strong from the get go that giving them good late game options would be just dumb.
You have a better drush, a better man at arms rush, amazing eco (you save the resources of wheelbarrow + handcart and basically get 5 free vills), fully upgradable archers and siege ram. There’s a reason they are S tier on arabia

Anyway elite berserks are so much better than champions it would be a shame to not make them.

exact so just Malias must be NERFED

Malians aren’t overpowered though, why should they be nerfed? Chinese, Vikings, Franks, Lithuanians and Mayans are all examples of civs stronger then Malians are.

only franks for noobs and predicteble and lithuania if u get relics.other also Aztecas broken but malians strong to

yeah that’s why the pros continue to pick them in tournaments left right and center.
predictable doesn’t mean much, look at Britons - they predictably go for Archers. still strong. still one of the best civs in the game.

Do you even know what you are talking about?

Got my answers right here. You don’t

Why aren’t Burgundians on that list?

Because they are newish.

I honestly think slightly stronger champions would still end up being the same since you will most of the time go for Zerks. I dont want them to have ā€œthe bestā€ militia but I think their infantry hp bonus ends up feeling underwhelming when not going Zerks (who should be unchanged by any buff to their baracks units)

Either way this is just nitpicks. I dont think it would actually change the balance at all to do this but at the same time its not necessary.

It would still give them the best light cav of the game and affect the Konnik a unit that its far better than any cav options Malians have (Konniks would maybe need a super small buff to overcome this RoF nerf) as well as being a tech that its avaible an age earlier for a cheaper price. Nerfing it would just barely nerf their hussars and cavaliers. The diference would be so small 99% of the time I see no problem with changing this even if it is a really nitpicky nitpick. Also Bulgarians get just everything better than Malians so I think them having a barely better knight line would end up being fine (particularly since Bulgarians are far more versatile and tend to go Konniks instead who would still beat Malian cavalier). Its also not necesary at all just like it would be making Vikings have an slightly better militia line.
