I hope the production team understands that the simplest solution is to separately place the Chronicles Civilization forces into the new PVP server

I just read this article, and although I think it is reasonable and well founded, there is still a simpler win-win solution for the production team: you can put the Chronicles Civilization forces separately in a PVP server. This way, not only can you do whatever you want in the future, but also there will be no mutual influence. Everyone will be satisfied and there will be no more arguments.

thats not true though, many people including me will be undersatisfied, especially after having paid for the dlc.

The 3K are even more out of place in chronicles, given the timeline, their AoE2 classic tech tree, their lack of a second dock or unique architecture or lack of policies etc

So you mean we have to fight each other? What part are you dissatisfied with??

You’re absolutely right. If given the choice, I hope it disappears completely, but it’s clearly impossible now.

Chronicles should get it’s own ranked queue once they have more civilisations for sure.

But 3 Kingdoms are not Chronicles and shouldn’t be Chronicles. They shouldn’t be in the main game either but that’s a different topic.
The 3 Kingdoms reused multiple civ bonuses and even a unit name from Chronicles. They are clearly not intended to work together.

you implied “Everyone” when there would be large parts many people would be unsatisfied

i kinda dont get your suggestion at all but from what i hear its a seperate thing entirely. many people bought it bc it said multiplayer. and if it was revoked, then those who bought it for that reason would just get scammed. Unless you want them to refund everyone who bought it at this stage which is super unrealistic.

and unlike the history buffs of the forums, i dont mind them that much. if the civs werent trash id be super hyped for the dlc, but bc of everyone crying powercreep and dlc being p2w, there are several units and civs which are probably quite underpowered.

For evey change made to appease one demographic of people you can unwittingly alienate those who are staisfied.

There are a million ways to appease one demographic without insulting the others. Don’t imply they’ve run out of ideas
We just want them to do better. You guys want them to burn out.

It’s about placing civilizations like Greece and 3K separately in one PVP server. I don’t think separating two PVP servers will cause any loss to anyone, and no one will lose their multiplayer because of it. But if they really think there’s a problem, it’s probably that they need to spend money to buy a new server:)

I would be unhappy that the playerbase is split, it is not ideal to have 999 servers for each mode and it hurts high elo ladder as its already pretty deserted

(Not that I support those new civs, I didnt buy the DLC)

well i guess im not anyone since you’d just make these me have a useless dlc that i paid 18 cad for.

also having 2 servers of seperate civs avaliable is kinda stupid. like no way you think thats remotely realistic right? like its not some medival simulator, they’d much rather include all pre-1600 into one game rather than that. even if they decided it was a problem they would just throw them into single player only over that option

Well, they were wrong to sell the option of ruining many players’ aoe2 experience (by encountering fake civs Wei Shu Wu in ranked) for 18 CAD. Consider the removal of Wei Shu Wu from ranked (if it happens as it should) equivalent to having to return something you bought that’s actually stolen from someone else and sold to you by the thief, and the thief has no ability to pay you back. You just lose the money in a case like this unfortunately. But hey your situation is actually better because it’s not a useless DLC if you care about campaigns and custom lobbies! Or maybe get a refund.
