that’s not a unit problem, that’s a civ eco problem and 80w 80c is only 12% cheaper - it gives more breathing room tho since you won’t run out of mines as fast as with normal merc builds.
It’s 12% cheaper, but way easier. You basically chop trees and Torps eat the mines. If you tried the same thing with just coin you’d run out of coin way faster.
I agree it’s partially an eco problem, currently Sweden is built upon a terrible foundation. Their eco is too good so they can afford a mix of over and under priced units. Their tech tree is full of holes and they take time and investment to fill.
Frankly, the civ could probably use a full rework, but I suspect all it will get is more bandages that fix as many problems as they create.
Because chop wood efficiency is low, usually we SFI get cheap pikes and send Great Northern Forests for torps can eat tress, it is similar to let Sweden have 1 more wood factory efficiency. Plus 2 more factories for wood or coin, Swe vils can mainly hunt would be still ok, and their resources can still jump like rocket, nonstop pikes and still be able to age to imperial easily. Jaeger just need few for countering RR or goons.
Yeah, I haven’t really done the pike build. I saw some players going Jaegers and approximated a build order. My execution was probably horrible, but it functioned and seemed pretty nasty once it got going.
