Ideas for a cavalry bonus for Poles

Well it’s hidden behind a imperial UT, so it’s a very lategame switch with a lot of tech-in.

That’s why I don’t think it’d be problematic.

But ofc I don’t claim I would know everything of the game, it’s just how I would solve it. I would make it deliberately OP but so lategame it would only be a thing in like 5 % of the games, if any.

I see. In that case it will be fine I guess. +10 attack bonus vs spearman line is hard to count though. You can just hit and run against them. Although in Imperial age it is very hard to do.

Sorry for necroing this thread. StonkZ11 proposed a good one here.

Stable techs gives 50% more attributes.

I think this will be an OP bonus. Hussar will have 120HP and 12 attack. Paladin will have 220HP and 20 attack. Both of them seem to be OP units. Also in castle age, cavalry will move 15% faster. This can also be a bit OP as Cumans bonus is kept at 10% in castle age instead of 5% as a bonus + Husbandry.

Based on their historical use, the best way to represent Winged Hussars would be to give Hussars a Charge attack like Coustillers.

No idea if it could be balanced for an unit with 1.65 speed.

But at least it would accurately represent why Winged Hussars were historically OP

Maybe in 20 years more we will have an imperial tech thats lets UU training in generic buildings…

Just 10 food more and get tons of more armor more hp more attack and plus bonus ? i think you have lost your sense of balance issues ? For that comparision this units cost should be like 90 Food 55 Gold or something or maybe more … This is actually far better version of Cavalier …Also uncouterable unit not even pikes can counter them with that superior stats nothing can beat them besides war eleps. Literally bull ■■■■ xD Tell me bro then why should i pick any other civ besides Poles why ? Then game be like Age of Poles xD 11 11 11 11 11

There are tons of historically op warriors ;
1st) Samurais … Nothing needed to say about them
2nd) Mangudais
3rd) Turkish Sipakhi
4th) Viking Berserkers/Shiledmen
5th) Jannisarries
6th) British Archers
7th) Spartan infantry
8th …
List can go long…Winged Hussars were just one of them which played their good role in their own time of period.French,Viking,Mongol,Turk,Persian,German etc all of those implemented serious strong millitary advancements and strenghs at different/common time phases. So no need to call Winged Hussars are best etc ?!

When did he call the Winged Hussars “the best”? No doubt were they one of the strongest forces of their time. I sense some envy from you about their military success, not sure why though.

No need to represent Winged Hussars in a Medieval Game.

The devs seem to heavily disagree with your personal opinion. We will have lots of Hussar mechanics and units now. You should enjoy them!

Can’t be given for feudal age scout. Light Cav and Hussar may get the charge attack only if it is pretty small like +10.

Sorry to inform you, but from this list only three was a real units, if not two. Samurais are social class, not a unit. Mangudais are tribe, not a unit. Berserks didn’t even exist and tf is Spartan infantry?

Where did you get that ? You better get your senses chekced dude. Why should i envy on a one of the most succesfull millitary organisations which had happened nearly 400 years ago ? ? ?
I just say this !!
There are many other very strong millitary organisations troughout the history so many onf them are represented in game none of them are actually super strong or op (besides mangudai which needs to be nerfed btw).Winged hussar is just one of them like (samuarais,Berserkers,Mangudais etc.)so it doesn’t need to be op super strong unit thats that.please come to reason !

Samurais were Elite social class which serves to protect the Emperor and fought in many battles also prove many millitary achivements.

Mangudais were para Mongolic&Turkic group of tribe and they had served as Elite Warriors generally protecting the Khan and khanate.Which makes them a fighting force.

Actually Berserker means (Bear-Skinned) these men were of a great fighting force in Viking army i dont have actual numbers or actual aim of this groups. One thing for sure is they were THERE .

If you dont know about spartan infantry so i dont need to say anything .

We already have that since 2000 as the generic Hussar unit. I think most of us is okay with that.
Also AOE II time period is 400 AD - 1600 AD though. Not necessarily only medieval (500 AD - 1500 AD).

Changed the title to only cavalry bonus,

Just thought that it will be better if it is similar to Condotterio or Genitour, a whole new unit that can be shared via TB, unlike Imperial Skirmish which is an unique upgrade as a TB.

just give em fast husars maybe

Cumans already exist

Faster moving or faster creation speed? Either way Cumans have both.
