The DLC review scores have been taking a hit recently and in fairness to those that like the DJC, I would urge you to leave their positive or otherwise thoughts on it in the Stream review.
Three Kingdoms deserves a fair shot after all, despite how some may feel about it.

I like the 3 kingdoms for Jurchens and Khitans and frankly don’t mind the 3k civs but I’m not sure that it’s necessary to alienate the player base who plays for historical fun. I want them to fix the DLC so the game has more longevity before I give any positive review. I get that they can’t make everyone happy all the time but from what I know, most of the people on this forum hate this DLC. Thus they should make more people happy by fixing it. However, I’m not very confident that they will.
If they do fix it what they should do is make a brand new China dlc including Tibetans at least and 2 more civs. Then give discount to those who bought 3k, and move 3k to chronicles. Then you’ll get people buying both DLCs. Would make huge profits imo.
Edit: Better yet, make all return of Rome civs chronicles with new and better campaigns.

If they did as you suggest I’d buy both DLCs AND BfG in an instant. I just haven’t had much time to play aoe2 recently and figured I didn’t need BfG at the time, but if they actually fixed 3k I’d buy all three dlcs.

This is the fair shot it deserves.
I would also like to leave a positive for the Jurchen and Khitan DLC. Where can I rate it?

If they fix it by moving 3K content to its own game mode, and add Tanguts, Tibetans and Dali + reworking khitanguts;
then yeah, sure, why not.

What makes you think it hasn’t had a fair shot so far?

Or… on Steam, you can just filter the review type to just show the positive reviews when reading them

Yeah they deserve a fair shot of 5% positive at best.

Agree with the title. Vice versa, if you dislike 3K, plz roast it on steam.

Or (hear me out), the lower ratings is a message to the developers that they ought to make better DLC. And it’s not just that 3K ought not be in the main game, I watched the 3K campaign content on YT and it looks sub par compared to previous DLC (in my opinion).

The review scores will come down even more after the coordinated positive review bomb from Worlds Edge and Forgotten Empires employees, as it should be. I hope it ends up in the red.

It would end up in red if all the people, who refuse to buy it, get to rate as well.

The studio has been aggressively deleting negative comments on social media and blocking people; EW is probably quite annoyed they can’t do the same to game reviews, so instead they just copy/paste a generic comment on each negative review.

I know y’all are upset about the DLC existing and the general lack of response to the criticism.
But please do not spread lies on the internet.

lol I deleted my steam account in 2018, and since 2020 I’ve been on xbox. If I used PC, I’d primarily buy off Windows Store, just to avoid the drama of people in their twenties. I really don’t care what Steam users think.
Apathy is probably the best course of action at this point considering how things are going. Especially towards the more vocal minority of the community.
Microsoft must love people who have low standards, buy and ENJOY literal sh_t for 20$.

Every time someone takes the “loud minority” copium, the “silent majority” be like:
Never comment on anything. Never rate on steam. Never upvote or downvote. Never even play the game
WHERE ARE THEY?

I don’t understand the assumption that the silent majority is supposed to support the DLC. When they are silent, how to confirm their stance? If steam review is not representative, what is representative? Even a representative public poll is done by a pool of random selection of several thousands of citizens out of hundred millions citizens.

Don’t be surprised when they add Abram tank and F16 into the game or even Darth Vader and call it medieval. Maybe they should add wizard or dragon into the game as well. Let’s see where Apathy would lead the game. Telling the dev to ignore valid concern sure is one way to handle criticism. The fact that the DLC got 50% rating is really telling that the “vocal minority” isn’t minority at all.
