My game slows down over time and then crashes, this never happened during beta for me, how odd.
It could be a problem. Fallout 4 has a problem when you are not using Default Native settings [Yellow] and caps himself at 44 FPS when you using the blue one as example it locks himself on 44fps.
So never say Refresh rate shouldnt impact anything.

for me the performance is worse than last beta build.
4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
24 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M395 2 GB
I can run high end games with no issues. Yet I can’t meet the minimum ranked benchmark for this game. Lots of others with high performance machines reporting the same.
Maybe you could open your mind an inch to realise just because your experience is ok, doesn’t mean you’re right
Your i7 using only 1 core in Age 2 DE… That is the problem… waiting for future patches.
Here too. But with these new 29Mb update the game is better (little).
Nono, it’s not just single core performance. That is a partial misconception. Yes the game only runs on a single core, and that will probably remain so, but it is also quite often failing to use the full computation power of that one core.
What’s with the trashing the devs? Just because some people are having problems doesn’t mean everybody is.
It’s standard nowadays to release a game before it’s fully ready … it’s not like the devs are doing anything different to anybody else. They’re still working on the game and they’ll get the issues fixed. People still play AOE1 DE … the only reason there aren’t that many players playing it is because it’s nowhere near as popular as AoE2. HD Edition was really popular despite tons of issues. And this is getting a lot more support from Microsoft than the HD Edition did.
The server issues will get fixed, matchmaking will improve, balance changes will come … everything will be amazing … stop trashing the devs when they’re doing a fantastic job. I want them to know that their job isn’t entirely thankless just because some people have issues that they want to get rude about. The fans are not forgotten and AoE2 DE has literally only just launched. it’s entirely normal nowadays for a game to have issues on launch … the devs aren’t doing anything out of the ordinary. Everything will be fine, sheesh.
Personally, I’m loving the game already and I have a low-end rig that doesn’t even fully meet the recommended requirements. I get no issues on my end with the performance and I’m confident that the devs will fix the server issues and optimize things further. I don’t understand all the hate besides some people acting like they represent the whole community when they don’t.
Plenty of people are happy too. It’s just the unhappy people shouting the loudest so here’s a shoutout to those who are really happy with the release and understand that it’s not going to be 100% the day after launch. Some of us appreciate that the devs are working on it!
I do feel that unhappy people are unhappy for a reason though. There are a lot of people with much better hardware than I have, yet are getting worse performance. And I also think most of said people remained respectful. The vast majority of said people just want to be heard and get a solution for their issues. That’s nothing abnormal. If your game runs fine, great! Most will be genuinly happy for you. But the ones with issues really should not be ignored either. I feel we all should work constructively towards a solution.
Claiming that the fans are forgotten is beyond harsh though… and I couldn’t disagree more. The devs are still doing their best to improve the experience for everybody.
I agree with that. There are a couple of people excagerating. But please let us just take the ones being constructive, which is for me the vast majority, as the standard.
The people with issues shouldn’t be ignored … but the point is they’re not being ignored.
It’s one thing to make a thread explaining your issues and reaching out to those with similar issues … it’s quite another thing to get mad and claim that Microsoft is just after a quick cash grab and that the fans are forgotten.
I have no issue with the people being respectful who simply want their performance problems resolved.
That’s the clue we gotta take. I am also quite sure a lot of people above who went a bit over the top will admit so. They just feel frustrated, mate. We all do at times in our lives. That’ll pass once they are beyond the moment. I’ll try to help out; there’s obviously some things that makes the game tick. Finding out what might get these people able to enjoy their game.
What do you mean by trashing? I just fly over the posts and not see anything that is to harsh.
If someone releases a game that has not enough polish he has to deal with the stuff he has released.
And i strongly disagree with the “releasing unfinished games is normal stop complaining”. That is not normal it is just lazy.
Edit: I just want to say that this is not the worst game release i have seen, but also not the best. There is many room for improvements. But i think that a “ok’ish” state of the game or release should not be the goal.
To all the people that claim they can not run the game. It would be nice if you could add specifications about you’re systems.
Especially the thread maker. Stating “Can not run with a high end pc” does not really tell the devoloper much.
Hopefully they will solve your problem. I was one of the people getting around 30fps in beta, and it is up in the 150-200fps range now with UHD @ 4k. This is with an rtx 2080, i7 6700k, and 32gb ram.
That is a remake (aoe iv ?) not a remaster.
Agreed, but AOE4 isn’t a AOE2 remake. It just uses the same era.
You are lucky then
I’m getting 7-16 FPS with UHD now.
And I have these:
Core i7 7700HQ
16GB DDR4
GTX 1050Ti + 4GB GDDR5
1TB HDD
