:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

 DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
Tl;dr: The availability of secondary unique units is inconsistent between civilizations in Full Tech Tree mode. Condotierri, Flaming Camels, and Genitours are listed as Unique Units in the technology tree (like Turtle Ships, Imperial Camels, Longboats, and Caravels), not a technology (like Imperial Skirmishers), yet the Italians, Tatars, and Berbers don’t have access to them in Full Tech Tree Mode, while all the other civs (Vikings, Indians, Portuguese, Koreans) get their secondary unique units.

I tested different civs in Full Tech Tree mode, and the behavior for most civs are expected: Indians get imperial camels, Koreans get turtle ships, Vikings get longboats, and Portuguese get Caravel, because those are listed as “unique units” on the civ description page. The Vietnamese don’t get “imperial skirmisher”, and that’s okay because it’s listed as an “upgrade” in the civ description page and omitted from the “Unique Units” list. Allies don’t get any of these units. This is all expected.

My understanding is simply, every civ gets every unit plus its own “unique units”, but loses unique technologies and other civ bonuses. This makes sense. I’m also okay with the fact that Vietnamese don’t get Imperial skirmishers, because it’s not listed as a Unique Unit in the civ descriptions page.

What’s unexpected is, Italians do not get Condottieri in the barracks, Tatars don’t get Flaming Camels in the Castle, and Berbers don’t get Genitours in the archery range, even though they’re listed as a Unique Unit on the tech tree page. Please fix this by either removing them from the “Unique Units” list in civ descriptions, or adding them into the full tech tree mode.

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

 List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Start a Skirmish against the AI. Choose “Indians” (or Portuguese, Koreans, or Vikings) as the civilization, start in post-imperial age with high resources, and check “Full Tech Tree”.
  2. In game, build a Stable (or a Dock for the other three civs). Notice that the Imperial camel (or Caravel, Turtle ship, or Longboat) is available as a unit.
  3. Now leave the game; start a new game with the same settings, and choose “Italians” (or Berbers) as the civilization.
  4. In game, build a Barracks (for Italians, or Archery Range for Berbers). Notice that Condottieri (for Italians, or Genitours for Berbers) are missing as a unit.

:arrow_forward: EXPECTED RESULT

 What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
The Italians should have access to Condottieri, Tatars to Flaming Camels, and Berbers to Genitours, since these are listed as unique units in the tech tree. If this is not intended, please remove them from the “Unique Units” list, similar to Imperial Skirmisher for Vietnamese.

Wording of the civ descriptions for Indians and Koreans, for example, which have access to Imperial Camel and Turtle Ships in Full Tech Tree (Portuguese and Vikings are another two civs that follow this rule):

Wording of the civ description for Vietnamese, which loses access to Imperial Skirmishers in full Tech Tree: (to be clear, this is okay, because it’s not listed under “Unique Units”, but is instead described as an “upgrade”)

Wording of the civ description for Italians, Tatars, and Berbers, which misleadingly call Condottieri, Flaming Camels, and Genitours unique units, don’t call them “technologies”, but don’t give you access to them in Full Tech Tree mode:
