Indian civilization proper representation , the gupta Empire

Some people tend to rewrite the past history, saying that a certain group of people are better than others, so that they can gain a sense of accomplishment and pride. They completely ignore the concept of people in the past who did not have a nationality. Strive to survive under different rulers.

Ok, so put the Chola or the Tamils and the problem was solved (in fact relic already announced a civ of south India that they are going to launch if not this year, the next one surely)…

If or when it’ll arrive, me n my friends will buy aoe4 for sure , but till then ? I don’t see a huge chunk of Possible players joining the game.

That the Chinese of aoe 3 do not cease to be a civ based on Manchu invaders, but that nevertheless represent the historical period of the civ at that specific moment in history, as well as the Sultanate of Delhi and the Mughals for India in their respective games, but if you feel offended by being them “foreign invaders”, for the devs can put a more Hindu civ if they want and the problem is solved…

Man this thread is messy. To bring it a bit more on topic I think the Chola Empire would be interesting.

It fits the timeline very well and as a maritime trading power it could result in some very fun and interesting mechanics.

Hi Everyone,

@VagrantBloom811 I enjoyed reading your post, I like your passion and your research. I would support the idea of multiple Civ’s that occupied the same piece of land.

and Religions should be represented there massively important to the formation of empires, Hinduism should be represented. +++ any other religion you can think off.

I Pray for Mod-ability!

as a new Christian iv been thinking lately about how places looked in bible times Particularly Jerusalem but iv have a think about Mecca also.

Imagine playing a campaign 622 - 692 in and around Mecca playing out the founding of Islam, it would be amazing! (Obviously trying to observing cultural sensitivities)

check List of battles 301–1300 - Wikipedia

there are 15 Events documented here.

For a part Indian campaign (Idea)
What about the Chalukya Empire, Pallaya and the Cholas. they kicked each other in, between 618-1068.
alright there a bit early, but I’m just suggesting this for campaign ideas rather than a whole Civ.

(Comments given in good faith, and to help Debate/Conversation along.)

God Bless.

Long rant for argument but all fail , this whole rant just show how badly u want to give everything religious angle

but I hope u r talking about aoe4 ??? Becoz in this game they did made a civ china , that represents a modern day state not ancient state . With inclusion of old dynasties there . Do yes civilization in this game represent modern day nations (if u have played this game then u know ) .

So it’s fair to raise a demand to do the same for other nations specially one who represents 1/5th of world’s population ??? Right now there is no representation of any indian Empire .
(Delhi represent modern Iran or afganistan )

And don’t put ur biased mentality by putting religion in this thread . Hinduism is not the only religion originated from india , have u heard of Sikhism , budhism , Jainism ??? . And there were many dynasties with rulers of different religions from them , that were indigenous .

I never asked for a Hindu empire , and neither I asked for denying a muslim empire , it’s all in ur mind .
All I asked for indigenous empire .

Delhi represent more of modern day Iran or afganistan .

In aoe3 they give representation of indigenous empire by naming troops , wonder and making mirror native settlement on the basis of indigenous empires, also they have indian language as in game language , so it was fine . We can say they atleast tried to give representation to every aspect . In aoe4 their in game language is something , noone use in india and was never a popular language in india at any point .

Great thread! I’d love to see a Sikh faction, but of course it simply doesn’t fit the timeframe AE IV considers sadly apparently. I hadn’t considered this.^^

Of course, it is understood…

Eventually, more Indian civilizations would be added to AoE4. Perhaps in the future, we could see the Chola Empire, Tamils, Gurjara, Pala Empire, etc. Mauryan wouldn’t be in AoE4 for the same reason why it would never be in AoE2 and 3 which is the fact that the Mauryan Empire existed from 322 BC - 184 BC which is out of the timeframes of AoE2, 3, and 4. The Mauryan Empire belongs in AoE1 instead because AoE1 takes place during the timeframe (Antiquity) when the Mauryan Empire existed.

Agreed. It would most certainly be a good idea to bring in the Chola Empire and the Chola Empire can also be having the War Elephant as well.

Relic says before the launch of the game, what they are doing a South Indian civ, maybe the Cholas…and speaking of the Mauryans, the Project Celeste team of AoE Online are going to launch the new civ of the Indians this month based on them…

Bring it down a few notches. You may have some good ideas, but opening like that you immediately sound like a crazy person who shouldn’t be taken seriously.

What is it with this forun and toxic nationalism? The Delhi Sultanate do not “represent” India or any other modern country. They represent the Delhi Sultanate which was a very relevant power at the time the game takes place.

The devs have already expressed interest in putting in an Indian civ in the future.

This looks awesome. I need to check out AoEo

Yes, more alive than ever… it has seasonal events (summer, halloween, winter/christmas) and two new civs: Romans since March last year and now Indians in this September…

Try it, they are putting a lot of love into the game…

i agree. Delhis are turks.

When will that future come  been two years
