I remember making this thread where I suggested that a new siege unit called the [Staff Slinger] could be trained from the Siege Workshop and be available for every civilisation in the game.
The idea of this staff slinger unit is that it will function as an early short ranged siege unit that will be available in the feudal age.
If it would be difficult to make it so that the Siege Workshop can be built during the feudal age, where the other siege units can’t be trained from it until reaching the castle age and beyond, the staff slinger could alternatively be trained from the Archery Range.
Edit: A user by the name of @Leshanni suggested in a post that the battering ram could be available during the feudal age, therefore both the battering ram and the staff slinger could together serve as early siege units.
