@JakcieChan1178 Do you know if it is possible to force AI to build multiple markets.

AI can now most of the time build market to corner in order to get better trade income. however all civs with market landmark still build it wherever and dont build second market to corner.

I have noticed this at least with mongol, french and ottoman.

Another solution would be to not allow building of those landmarks

Oh that’s unexpected, because I remember clearly that some time ago your cheating AI was way different from Vanilla cheating AI.

oh really? in that case ill up the market cap to 2. I purposefully set it to 1 just in case they go too far with markets but ill just set it to 2.

Nah, that was a thing I tried before with changing the ai cheating values that I reverted to be vanilla

After the new DLC, when I active a mod or play any mod, the Mongol AI does not build any buildings (even there is no change in AI Mongol files). Does anyone know how to fix this issue? thank you.

Do you know if it is possible to force ai to not build landmarks they cant use properly like guild hall or golden gate?

This is a hard coded issue with how the mongol ai needs certain resources immediately to properly work. I cant fix that but the devs do a decent job on making it happen way less than before

I would prefer that they do know how to use them, I did have them be able to use them before the dlc but now its broken. If I really cant find a fix ill go ahead and disable it

How come the ai never seem to want to build walls?

It is a pity to hear this. I hope you will find a solution to this problem without disable.

I dont know if this has changed with the vanilla ai but they have disabled walling lately because before, walling for the ai basically just cripples them as they had terrible decision making when considering wall placement (its usually a huge circle around their base).

Which is really strange since this was in the latest update notes:

AI Defensive Behavior Updates

AI will now plan and build an air-tight Wall when it’s feeling defensive, and fill gaps created by gathered resources. 
AI will no longer build encircling walls around cross-map economic expansions. 

Well I guess it only says that AI plans walls

ikr, im as confused as you. Again, I don’t test with the vanilla ai a lot but the files say that the walling is disabled. Though I am working with limited files and this sort of behavior does not seem to be seen with the current mod tools. Maybe im missing something.

The Mongol AI is still not working in any online match I set up on the hard, hardest, or intermediate levels. When their base is found the carts are still unpacked, the villagers stand there idle, as well as the Khan.For some reason Mongols AI is still buggy and sometimes refuses to build buildings in the beginning.

what map are you playing?

I play mostly lipany and have never seen that. I think this bug happens if AI does not see some stone when game starts

French AI does not use Cannon , Royal Cannon’s Artillery Shot ability.

@JakcieChan1178 Fyi I noticed that after todays patch AIs walling seems to be allowed. It seems to work better than previously but its still not the best. Maybe they should get some discount for AI stone walls if you dont decide to disable walling like before

Just booted the patch and saw walls for hte first time in months too. I have changed some of the ai walling values to hopefully not have them make walls too big. Preferably, Im gonna keep walls enabled and not have them cheat in any way

Looking at the files more there seems to be extra ai additions not mentioned in the patch. Thanks devs

On this note ill say that I’ve been looking at making naval and nomad ai work better. Specifically with both, the ai would prioritize docks earlier and be quicker to build their capital in nomad, even with not so good conditions.
