Thanks for the buff but if the enemy makes 10 Horse Artillery in age 4 then I will still die.
We need increased range and more siege resist, just like the Arrow Knights. Only having 10% siege resist and 22 range does not help much against artillery.
Also why the nerf to infantry and Cav, the unit is already 2 pop. Huaraca are essentially worse Abus Guns.

I have to say I’m very pleased, it is a good addition, is historically precise and synergizes very well with Healing Dance, making you want to conserve ant thus heal your units.
However (always there are a however), a ROF promotion for Otontin Slingers works wonderfully for them. When they have descynchronized attacks they lose less shots, making them much more effective in combat (without making them OP).
And, if we remember Aztecs have hybrid units (JPK is halberdier/skirmisher), give them a card (with cost increased, if is needed) for give them a bonus against Light Infantry.
i think the nerf for the shotel not is ok because etiopia dont have a skirm in age 2 what to do now only gasgenias? shotel are so slow to catch light infantry i think they need remove that nerf because that destroy the unit

They’re still being punished for being OP years ago. enough though they’re pretty weak now.
Sweden could use a late-game counter to mass goons since veteran crossbowmen would become obsolete and Jeagers aren’t enough.
Yeah, If anything they need to be buffed to fight ‘light infantry’. Not heavy infantry Jags and slingers are enough for that.
Obviously they should be affected by some upgrades, but it should be consistent with other similar units. Either all the javelin throwing guys are foot archers that benefit from Infantry Breastplate, or they’re all musket infantry that benefit from Socket Bayonet.
I forgot about Azaps, but they’re already classified as hand infantry, so having the foot archer tag doesn’t give them any extra Arsenal techs. It does let them benefit from some good native techs though. The fact that they benefit from Somali Jile Daggers is a bit concerning since it lets them do almost 100 damage per second against cavalry. That tech could also be an issue for Maya Javlineers if they get the tag too. Maybe they need to moderate it like they did for Urumis.

like in terms of like unit looks I can see the idea for it but like as for upgrades it has very little impact I feel.
there are also other javelin throwing units, though not many that doesn’t fit into any of these like the eagle scout, which is only infantry and neither heavy or musket or foot archer, but it is an archer. The erk is also kinda on the same boat.
The form of the unit shouldn’t matter that much unless it acually changes their role in combat. Mayan javelin being both foot archer and musket infantry doesn’t do that.
Azaps are pike infantry (AbstractPikeman tag), but there aren’t any techs that benefit them.
