The consulate units seem to have the same skin as the RG units but not the same effects. (which is probably good imo seeing as the units are available in earlier ages)
I assumed they’d be hand infantry since they’re kind of a Pikeman. I guess I was wrong.
Other than Eagle Scouts (which aren’t really a proper combat unit), everything javelin throwing unit is counter-cavalry so it’s fairly consistent. As long as they didn’t make Mayan Javlineers light infantry it’s not the end of the world, but it would be nice if they were consistent with other similar units.

Caro is op…they counter cav at,range so you cant approach it with cav, like typically you can dance the cav infront of musk to absorb damage. Caro just easily unit. No need to switch mode, can charge, moves so fast etc. It is a noob spam unit. Must be nerfed
Is it really necessary to completely massacre the Africans? Ethiopia is going to be completely unplayable if this goes ahead.
The change to Tabot only makes Monasteries even more tedious than they are now. Why not increase the amount of coin they hold, but also have it increase the cost of the building?
Draft Oxen is still essentially useless. It needs to have some other kind of buff like making Fields faster to build for Villagers or something like that.
The change to Shotel Warriors is absolutely uncalled for and completely ruins the unit. Ethiopia has no counter to heavy infantry in age 2 and now heavy infantry hard counter Shotels instead of soft countering them.
Ethiopia is strong in treaty and with some cheese timing push strategies that abuse their shadow teching units, but it is trash at everything else. Why not focus on nerfing the abusable stuff (remove shadow teching of all natives and mercs and link it to the War Camp upgrades) and throw in a few buffs to compensate (making natives actually affordable by reducing or splitting their cost with other resources)?
One measly buff that barely even comes close to addressing 1% of how bad Fields are. But most importantly, when does one ever build Fields not in range of Granaries? It seems overly complicated to not just make them build faster overall.
you missed that they increased the cost of the church tech, tc build speed and finally added the negative multiplier for their militia
like otto will still be strong but these are consequential nerfs, and like increased los for artillery doesn’t mean much, like if anything that is a weird inconsequetial change

Light infantry is supposed to get 20% extra multiplier vs cav right? It should be 0.72x this PUP? I don’t see any changes it is still 0.6x
I think 3 LOS is important. It is able to see enemy culverin earlier, see enemy infantry or cav charge earlier etc. And easier to win cannon fight. It is like the arsenal tech for free. But still have the arsenal tech again
No changes to Brazilians? I’d have added Sloops and some Yoruba and Carib stuff.
Also, they still haven’t removed the Tupi Animal Lore tech or removed Zapotecs from Incas’ native allies card. That bothers me.
Portuguese Crusade costs 700 influence just to enable them so that’s not so viable. Dervishes and Cannoneers are too expensive to sustain production after their shipments are depleted. The only other option is sacrificing a card to get early Neftenya, but they’re even planning on nerfing those too.
If they’re going to nerf the shit out of a civ they need to address its weaknesses or it’s going to be completely unplayable.
in most games you just get the timing push with a mass of them for the kill or to prevent tc pushes, no one is sustaining production with them, if you want that might as well just get 700 coin and age to get neftenya.
not everything needs to be in constant production to be a viable option
July Patch PUP Sweden Dominions Bug

The Problem: The card “Dominions” removes itself from my decks as sweden as soon as I enter the game lobby.
Reproduction Steps:
- Build a deck. Make sure Dominions is in it.
- Start or join a lobby.
- Check your deck. Dominions is gone.

maybe the way to nerf neftenya wasn’t the best. The problem with that unit in treaty is their HP, not the attack, but the last patch was buffed in their attack.
Raadsaal card, on South African revolution, doesnt have any description. It allows Capitol to be built.
WTF! what was the need ?
An hour later and I feel I’ve barely explored this patch, a lot of content to peruse. Revolution updates look good. Was not expecting Royal Guard changes, and there are lots of new art assets scattered throughout.
