I remember someone asked at some point why Argentina has Imperial Mortars, I think the developers were based on the Monasterio Mortars.

I clarify that I heard this elsewhere in the forum and I put this information only for information.

Having said the above, the question arises as to why only the Monasterio mortars were added, clearly Argentina should be able to access more imperial artillery units or at least be able to create them cheaply and quickly.

I think that it would be fun if the devs added a card for Argentina based in the Flota Libertadora. It would send a BattleShip and a frigate

I would love for the developers to change the Argentine revolution from Germany to France.

According to this graph, they are the third migratory flow between 1857-1940 and in my opinion it makes more sense than Germany, which does not take advantage of the Argentine revolution.

Furthermore, I would like the Germans to have Chile as a replacement for the Argentine revolution, which could receive a death hussar for each shipment and take better advantage of the civilization bonus.

In short, this change makes much more sense, it does not break anything and at the same time it favors the two civilizations and the two revolutions.

France makes no sense for Argentina. Even the table you provided shows more total German immigration (German, Austrian, and Swiss) than French.

Only if we add those three countries and use the strange rules of the German umbrella civilization, but in my opinion that would be dishonest, also as I said the Germans would benefit more from the Chilean revolution and the French would benefit more from the Argentine revolution.

Also, I’m asking for it because it would make using these civilizations and revolutions more fun.

Germany wins a revolution that is really useful, that does not need too many cards and that can also take very good advantage of its civilization bonus.
France on the other hand wins a revolution that complements her special characteristics, melee cavalry, grenadiers and artillery.

It’s a win win in my opinion.

The same thing, at that time, the German nation was just being created, so just adding Germany and Austria gives you more immigrant population than France… although I understand that you are referring to the fact that both France and Argentina are cavalry civs…

Regardless of the historical situation at that time, I stand by what I said, it seems dishonest/cheating to me to use a combination of civilizations to justify that the Argentine revolution is from Germany.

I genuinely believe that an Argentine revolution with France would be a lot of fun to play and ironically would be more historically correct than the Italian and Spanish variants. (although that’s what matters the least to me ).

Plus the Germans really need a revolution they can use and I think Chile is their best option.

Chile could guarantee the boom of mills, a conversion of uhlans to hussars of death and Chile could also receive its hussars of death with each shipment, so it complements very well with this civilization and its special characteristic.

Yes, I mean it’s not bad, because both Argentina and Chile received a lot of German population, Argentina in Misiones and Chile in Araucania…

One argument to back this is that the argentine state copy many things from France in the second half of the 1800’s, from administration, certains customs to architecture. Personally, i don’t think that Argentina as a revolution for France would be better that the italian version.

La Expedición Libertadora del Perú no era Chilena? O hay otra?

Nobody surpasses the Tanos, the Italian version of the Argentine revolution is probably the one that represents a large number of Argentines and at the same time it is the one that offers, in my opinion, the most powerful version of the horse grenadier and the gaucho, the flagship units. (in a nutshell I agree with you on that)

Now, good, a hypothetical Argentine revolution with France implies several coincidences that would greatly benefit the revolution.
For example, the Criollos and French Royal Army card, the Gribeauval System, Engineering School, Advanced Arsenal, Flying Battery and the two factories cards, the Thoroughbreds and Blandengues cards, etc.

Likewise, even if you are not interested in the fact that France allows the Argentine revolution to be used, I advocate changing it for Chile.

Chile can only be used with Spain, which is unfair seeing the rest of the South American revolutions, plus the Germans would benefit a lot from having the hussars of death and the revolutionaries on their side. (In addition to the obvious fact that Chile is the only revolution that would really take advantage of the characteristics of German civilization.)

I want to make it clear that I am not trying to force this change, I am only asking for what I believe would give the Chilean and German players a fun option that complements each other well. :slightly_smiling_face:

I think he was referring to the Argentine fleet commanded by Admiral Guillermo Brown, but it could also be justified by Hipólito Bouchard’s fleet.

PS: I respect Commander Brown and his exploits, but Bouchard has some adventures that make him a more fun option.

Card Name: Bouchard the Adventurer (Inf)
Effect: allows you to copy the effect of an enemy or friendly card until the end of the game; Sending the card again allows you to change the active effect.
Effect 2: The first time you send this card you will obtain the Santa Rosa corvette, a heroic ship that can be rebuilt from any dock or maritime shipping point.

I was referencing Hipólito Bouchard’s fleet since it has a pretty interesting history.
