The world doesn’t evolve around your racist and nationalistic mind of America (ESPECIALLY Latin America) being more important than 3 continents combined.
This is Age of Empires, not Age of America. The original colonization theme made the game much more Eurocentric than adding anything outside of America that isn’t related to colonization.
There’s an excellent reason why the last DLCs aren’t focused on America (on top of the fact the we got USA and Mexico as DLCs in DE) many players got tired of the same forced theme when finally African Royals and Knights of the Mediterranean made the game enjoyable without forcing players to play on American and Asian maps only.
At no point did I say anything racist, nor did I say anything remotely nationalistic. I said the game had a theme, and in my opinion, it was a mistake not to focus on it.
You can disagree, and that would be reasonable, but making things up is offensive and disrespectful.
Edit: This translation is incorrect; if you based your assumption of racism on this, I regret to inform you that the final sentence is wrong.
This is a closer translation of what I said, and in any case, I’m complaining about Microsoft and its obsession with European and Asian markets.
This bothers me because, for me, the theme of the game matters more than a company’s economic speculation.
Yes, the game showed its full potential when it went into Africa and Europe; they should have continued down that path after the Baltic DLC, adding civilizations like Kongo and Zulu or even Imerina…
