Malta, British, Inca, Sweden, China, Ports and India Changes

Malta:

Nerf:

  • Steel Bolts card so that Siege range only goes up by +8 , for a siege range of 14. This will reduce the siege capability and therefore reduce some dependence on xbows.
  • Fixed Gun: Keep at a flat 2500 HP in age III, going up by a fixed 500 HP each age thereafter for a maximum of 3500 HP in Age V.

Buff:

Early Game:

  • Reduce cost of German Tongue to 425w
  • Increase building Aura range for Sentinel HP Bonus by +2 per age.

Late Game:

  • Upgrade Age IV card to +65% stats on Sentinels and also give +2 range to complement the +2 LOS, with a 50% increase in cost only.
  • Make the factory card able to be sent twice with a 250w and 250f cost each send. Rename to “Order Factory”

British:

  • Increase build time of manor house by 2 seconds

Inca:

  • Reduce wood cost of Kancha house by 5w.

India:

  • Increase cost of house by 5w.
  • Reduce Karni Mata bonus from +15% to +12%.

Sweden:

Buff:

  • Increase Hackapellit HP back to 240
  • Increase Hackepellit base damage by +2

Nerf:

  • Increase torp build time by 2 seconds

Portugal:

  • Revert 50% nerf to Feitorias and only apply a 30% nerf instead.

China:

  • Increase village cost by +5w

They should assume as game balance, at which point I’ll either be on aom or another serious RTS

Oh yeah?

So hackapellits haven’t been overnerfed, and Swedish eco is perfect?

India and British are just fine, right on part with Malta?

Inca doesn’t need a tiny buff?

Yo creo que los deliliers otomanos deberian volver a poder atacar cada 1 segundo y tener 6,90 de velocidad pero! que tengan 230 de Hp y que valgan 150 de comida y 50 de oro

so an uhlan? cause that is just an uhlan with the cost flipped

y la gente basicamente solo quiere convertir al delilier en un hĂşsar con otra skin asi que no se
pero bueno eso lo dije a la rapida aqui mi idea completa:

Delilier:
HP: 270
Velocidad: 6,90
Resiste: 15% Ataques de Proyectil
Ataque de asedio: 10 alcance 8 cadencia de fuego 1,8
Ataque cuerpo a cuerpo: 25 cadencia de fuego 1
Costo: 130 de comida 60 de oro

Malta buffs seem reasonable but they require zero nerfs they’re in a poor state as it is.

Tbh, as a general rule, shipments from Malta should all be more expensive, at least +2% more expensive per shipment. Bcs each shipment provides +2% HP for the ENTIRE army, any civilization that receives some kind of bonus for sjipment (like India, Germans and Hausa) their shipments must cost more expensive yes or yes.

Yet despite not costing more the civ still sucks and only inca is in a worse state than malta.

Nope, it’s one of their only civ bonuses.

Nha, I think Malta is a very good civilization, it has the ability to do most of the “main” strategies (rush, ff, turtle or boom) in a very profitable way. I think that currently the problem with malta is that it is complicated to use and there is no “easy” way to win with them, a real challenge imo.
Not to mention, there is a guy with a smurf account in the ladder atm who reached the top 20 spamming the archaic rush with Malta xD
We need to investigate the civilization more in depth, it took us 6 months to realize that the USA timing push of marines was broken, one or two years to realize that the inca native rush was broken and 18 years to realize that the british manors are broken, to name a few examples.

If we talk about civilization bonuses purely, well uhlans, vills and free cows per shipment is also a only civilization bonus for the aforementioned civilizations, and even so the cost is higher.

Late game they’re fine and very fun to play I use them a lot but you’re weak to early pressure and just any standard FF because you have no falc or culv shipment. If you can cheese the game enough with depots and fixed gun to get to late fortress/industrial then it’s all good from there on but nobody really lets you do that anymore it seems.

I think that the way to play Malta is to always rush and push, take advantage of the fact that you can mass much more archaic units than other civs (more crates, more initial vills, no shipping penalty) in addition to the fact that you have some very interesting shipments. Then go up to 3 when possible, and you can boom with triple TC (cheap vills), spam depots and fixes guns and go Industrial or keep pushing with archaic (imo rents a lot even in late stages)

Again I insist, the civilization seems weak, but is because there is no easy way to win, as for example with Spain or China, that one simply does FF and then gg, or with Russians and Ethiopians, that you simply mass soldiers and attack in the best moment and gg.

Malta xbow eats everything plus they can siege. This unit is just second Hakkapelit with slow speed.
They are weak at early game not means they don’t have problem, they are also one of best boom civ.

Buff is needed but nerf is also required.

The xbow requires heavy investment in cards and upgrades to be worthwhile and you need to get to fortress first to make them good. They are slightly better with malta due to faster wood gathering but if they were really so good we’d be looking at a broken civ like old sweden with svea lifeguard caroleans. As it stands malta is a bottom tier civ.

Malta Xbow getting to a point of “eating everything” is the fault of the opponent, not of Malta’s. Malta doesn’t have enough potential to make that happen with ease. There are areas where buffs are definitely needed, and where tiny nerfs are also needed as mentioned in my OP.
