I know this is an old engine and things are clunky and all that but wouldn’t it be great if we could get mountable wall segments so that we could put archers on top of the walls and maybe give them +1 range when they are up there?
Not sure exactly how this could be implemented and what is possible but if somehow you could mount the wall the same way that towers are garrisoned and then the wall tile changes graphics so that it becomes a wall segment with a foot archer (or whatever other unit).
This would then give the Seife tower and actual purpose in the game if then the enemy units could use it to also mount the walls and kill the units on top.
Ofcourse there would be the issue of wall orientation and which units can get onto the wall from which side and so on but I’m sure that can be worked out somehow no?
Something like this might be ok for the editor but not for normal play.
I can see multiple issues that would need total reworks if this gets added.
How do you send units on top of the wall can the enemy also use the same method to get on the wall.
How will using something like a ram affect the unit on top of the wall.will it fall to its death with the wall or not.
How will treb shots work if you target the unit on top,will it damage the wall or not.
