New Balance Changes Thread

Faster training. More health. More survival.

But the upgrade is too costly then, they need to reduce its cost

It’s slightly less than 10% reduction in training time, or in other words 10% faster training Camels! For reference, the HCA upgrade provides around 26% faster production, in addition to 1 attack, +10 HP (= 20% or 14% more), +1 melee armor.

The cav archer also trains significantly slower then camels. Im fine with them reducing the cost of imp camel, but dont pretend tge only benefit is 1 attack and 20 health.

Don’t overstate the effect of -2 seconds of training time. It goes from 22 to 20.

Im not. Im jusf stating that it provides more then prepaid was stating. Which is true. Im fine with lowering the cost a little bit.

With the Zealotry in castle age, and full Arbs, are Saracens too ready to lose Knights? None of the Indian civs have Knights, and some don’t even only Dravidians have FU arbs!

Honestly wouldnt surprise me if that happened

Yeh Knights may go, doesn’t really matter much for Saracens
BTW for “GurHarass” 6 sheep in mill = 1 vill on sheep for making food
according to a stream calculations

Kts definitely matter for Saracens, as not having cavalier is no issue when you go for a yolo market abuse play in castle age.

Source? Haven’t heared of that anywhere else.

You can see it in Ornlu’s stream vod at 1:31:12

Will probably not be noticed except that it might leave skirmishers and/or arbs with one or two HP when they are in staggered formation. Maybe. Would have to test in the editor.

I am very disappointed how they’ve treated Elephant Archers and Hindustani Cavalry Archers. It is outrageous.

Agree. I like that they nerfed them a little bit since they are no longer a UU, but I expected them to reduce the cost by more than just 10 food

This is awesome, we were just discussing madrash over the last few days. Such a unique decision

Really keen to try them out now.

This next wave of changes(including DLC) is probably the biggest change to the game in one go since DE launched ?

I think this was great. It went from being a unit that could be mono blob spammed (and countered almost everything), but was very difficult to get a crit mass due to the bottle neck on castles, to something that is easily accessed from castle age. So it had to be nerfed to compensate for its ease of access. On top of the various unique civ bonuses.

Now it simply needs to be screened better Vs more units as opposed to previously

Have y’all seen the anti building dps on the gurj ones? Cries in WW :joy:

Wait, didnt they nerf the antibuilding bonus?
Now i am truly hyped

Seriously. Not enough that they got 4 civs, likely among the best, with 2 regional units and multiple unique units, they still keep complaining.

They for sure will be among the strongest civs like Franks and Mayans now.

Those Elephant Archer be even more weak against counter units.
Gurjaras will lack 5 pierce armor and 50 hitpoints, they are going to melt against Archers like Camels xD
Dravidians EA-s will be destroyed Halbs because they lack speed and bonus damage
10 food and fast training time is not enough compensation for Dravidians and Gurjaras considering how many important techs they miss.
