It’s curious that Cunhambebe is one of the antagonists (along with the French) in the Tupi campaign, since the Tupi in the WoL/AotW mods in AoE 3 have him as their AI personality…

Yes, it reminds me of the Spanish Rodeleros in AoE 3… but it’s not unusual that the natives used round shields too…

Yes, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did… for example, the Mongolian wonder in AoE 4 is a monument to Genghis Khan built in… 2008!

Yes, they probably have palisades and fortified palisades instead of stone walls, like the Rus in AoE 4…

Yeah, that would be cool… but just for the lulz…

Well, we recently got maps featuring Royal Albert Hall and Nessie…

the description for it says drop off point for all resources. the only reason you might still need the other buildings is to research upgrades

I think that feels more like a scenario object. but could be the wonder

And -

  1. When you don’t have 3x3 space.
  2. If the building cost more than 100 wood.

I don’t get why this is called “Settlement” and not “Storage Pit” or similar. Is it because it provides population too? That sounds like too many functions for the same building.

A common drop site for wood, food, stone, and gold, that provides population and is also built by the scout (in addition to Villagers, presumably).

It’s just too different and condenses too much specially if Incas, who are fine to play as they are, have to be changed to get them (and I can understand they are based off historical Inca structures but then I don’t understand why Tupi would get them).

Wait, what? Where did you get the info? I think you are mistaking it with outposts that can be built by new regional unit Champi Warrior.

Oh. I legit forgot about outposts. I never build them when I play.

That’s a place. You mean Ibirapema.

It may actually be one of those other animals:

I don’t know if they are/were herded historically, but are smaller than capybaras.

They should also add jaburu (jabiru, might be the bird someone already found in the screenshots)

And my recurring request, the maned wolf:

And as I said before, the javelina (which needs a new model) should be in South American maps. They do live down here:

They should also change the Portuguese name to caititu, the current one means “wild pig” which makes no sense.

Edit: they should also add tapirs, especially since those could also be used for SEA maps:

The black-and-white one is the Malayan species, the other three are South American.

Edit 2: pumas coul be added as well. They exist in North and South America.

Persians and Berbers need new ones too, and for Huns I’d use reconstructed proto-Turkic/proto-Mongol if possible. Or Chuvash, which is a common suggestion (and believed by some to be the closest relative of whatever language Huns spoke).

Personally I’d give Huns one of the Yeniseian languages for uniqueness, it was probably spoken by Xiongnu elites.

I feel like tapirs were on the list of animals coming that started the S. America theories in the first place.

They were? I don’t remember that.

Yeah, I just checked it again, and in Zetnus’ video that started all the speculation he mentions tapirs as one of the animals they saw in the files.

These are all animals from Zetnus’ video:

  • Tapir
  • Dingo ?
  • Snake ✓
  • Caiman ?
  • Guanaco ✓
  • Rhea ✓
  • Condor ✓
  • Flamingo
  • Black Panther ✓

Question marks for Dingo and Caiman, since “Dingos” already appear, but they are just renamed animals (Arabian Wolves), Caimans might be a similar case.

I remember the discussion but I didn’t know about Zetnus’ video.
