Not sure if this image is official or not—it could be AI-generated—but based on this image and the teasers we’ve seen so far:
Guecha warrior: I’m assuming the central figure with the javelin and the wallganga (Inca shield) is the Guecha Warrior.
It looks like the image might be showing an elite → non-elite skin.
Blackwood Archer: Positioned behind the Guecha Warrior. From the teaser, we can clearly see both the non-elite and elite skins, which seem consistent with what’s shown here:
The unit in the front appears to be the Champi Warrior.
What’s interesting is the shield: In this image, it looks square. In other teaser images, it appears round
This could indicate different skin progressions or upgrade stages.
This right here should be the Temple Guard with new Monk skin:
Finally, we also seem to get a glimpse of the Ibirapema Warrior, though details are harder to make out.
I wonder (hah) what the Tupi Wonder will be. They don’t seem like the type of civilization to have grand structures that survived long enough to be recorded.
Part of me really wants them to add Christ the Redeemer as a scenario editor building for kicks, even though it’s wildly anachronistic. It’s quite the grand structure.
It’s curious that Cunhambebe is one of the antagonists (along with the French) in the Tupi campaign, since the Tupi in the WoL/AotW mods in AoE 3 have him as their AI personality…
Yes, it reminds me of the Spanish Rodeleros in AoE 3… but it’s not unusual that the natives used round shields too…
I don’t get why this is called “Settlement” and not “Storage Pit” or similar. Is it because it provides population too? That sounds like too many functions for the same building.
A common drop site for wood, food, stone, and gold, that provides population and is also built by the scout (in addition to Villagers, presumably).
It’s just too different and condenses too much specially if Incas, who are fine to play as they are, have to be changed to get them (and I can understand they are based off historical Inca structures but then I don’t understand why Tupi would get them).
