They don’t even have a Didgori scenario. Pass.
Let’s hope the scenarios won’t suddenly “disappear” from mod section. As this “dlc” seems like a tax for people who didn’t learn to install mods^^
Tip for devs, say what you mean, guys. We’re not kids, we would gladly get hyped if you announced a set of 19 scenarios, many of them mods scenarios reworked, would be the new DLC. No need to hide it.
Well, as soon as I saw the scenario icons I got a feeling they would be those reworked mod scenarios. I’m a little underwhelmed because they advertised CAMPAIGNS but I’m certainly buying it. They’re all good scenarios, though some are a little bit hard, plus I myself don’t recall playing them all. Certainly not played Vortingern.
Many of these scenarios I found really nice, especially for the different mechanics. Though I really struggled with Drake’s one, that seemed a nice scenario and I would love to try it again. I would like to see Wreck of the Santa Maria. Cool story and gameplay about an event I never heard of.
That they did. They’re apparently not above baiting and switching a community who has supported a game for over two decades.
what are the really new missions and on the other hand, which mods will now be official content?
I’m pretty sure I’ve played the following
Ragnar
Finehair
Gaiseric
Drake
Komnenos
Seljuk
Temujin
One of the japanese (if it is a big fucking map you can deploy ninjas)
Constanine XI (IIRIC but I guess this is the one I couldn’t finish because I was sick of seeing the same Constantinople map over and over again 11)
I’m suspecting that Charlemagne one is a reworked version of that old Verden fan made map from AOC.
The other ones I don’t remember so I can’t tell which ones are the 5 new scenarios.
Gaeseric ruins our dreams of a Vandal civ pretty bigtime
You are right. I found all these on the mods side.
There are 2 Ragnar mods though and some more mods that haven’t been used.
Guess there will be another “campaign” dlc next year.
Just hope kings of West Africa will add kanemburo Songhai and Hausa with it.
This isnt even cheaper than a usual full DLC with new civs and 3 brand new campaigns. Wtf???
I am disappointed. I like new contents but I don’t like that much individuals scenarios. I really want campaigns fir civs that don’t have one.
Also, what is the price tag?
Just prepare to scream about it, 12,99 euros! But they kindly make a discount to… 11,04 euros
For 14 custom made scenarios already played on steam workshop and 5 new… And NOTHING ELSE
This is crazy!
Guys this is just beyond embarrassing, kudos for philty finally being able to make money out of his long and good work, but as a campaign creator I feel outraged…
They’re basically selling you something you already have for free ### ######## “Microsoft” on it. What a shame…
I know it sounds interested said by a custom creator but I think this is the moment to support independent designers instead of this crap, where there is true passion and creativity, not just the desire to sell you other people’s work… Incredible how shameless this is.
$13 USD for recycled content AFTER they lied to us?? I’m gobsmacked.
This is the first time I’m not sure if I will buy this. I always support our favourite game but this is a real insult to the community.
I don;t know if I will buy this DLC. I want to support, but… I don’t want to feel like an idiot
Man this is INSANE! Many users know from my posts that I support every DLC without question because I think this will help to keep the game alive for many years. I have never seen such a shameless behaviour from them. What a bad start of the year!
Price makes me think ‘normal’ DLC with multiple campaigns and civs will become more expensive.
Yes I thought exactly the same. This is a real concern
I predict the less bought DLC in history…
I’ll go far… the community should boycott this DLC… don’t buy it… don’t talk about it in social networks… Just pretend this DLC never existed…
Unfortunately yes. And even worse, they will disappoint many users which might avoid next DLCs as well. This will definately damage the game comunity if happens
the discription is also quite misleading:
this makes it sound like 19+5 scenarios, when it’s just a total of 19. Combined with the price tag this is shameful. I didn’t think age of empires would stoop this low
