I think all 19 are made by that guy on stream, he deserves all the money, not the lazy devs.

I take this back…
This isn’t a “Campaign” focused pack. This is a bland, “long-lasting” ludacris “battle” scenario pack. I evaded these comunity made scenarios always since they take away from the classic and thrilling, personal story campaigns the game firstly introduced. I would have been fine if those scenarios were classic historical battles, but these Filthydelphia style of battles doesn’t go well with the initial game design… I’m disappointed…

Yeah, not quite what I expected either, but I won’t complain. Not as interested in campaigns as most and I had no particular expectations for this DLC.
The Pros:
-More of Phillysouljah’s campaigns are now canon & have been updated/officially supported.
-Voice acting, music, etc. for those who are into that.
-5 Fully new scenarios. While this is less than expected, it’s on par with the content of a single campaign. Some of us hypothesized that the DLC might be small, e.g. a single campaign.
The Cons:
-No New Campaigns
-No New Editor Units or Objects as far as I can tell (this is what I had been most interested in about the DLC)
Price? I think if it’s $3, nobody should complain. I even think up to 5 is fair, and I would pay 10, but I imagine there will be a lot of grumbling if it’s above $5. I agree that calling it “campaign focused” was beyond misleading, OTOH it’s important to not get too invested in one’s own speculations. More than a few people seemed convinced it was going to be an East Asian Triple Campaign DLC.

The new mechanics wil be from triggers on the specific scenarios, it wont break the game.

Filthy should know better than to release campaigns/scenarios starring civs that need lesser substitutes to pretend to be them.
I like his work but the doors this shuts off hurts.

Okay. I don’t think there will be any DLC less than 4.99$. Other than costume packs of course.
I hope the price of this DLC is low, just for support the game. Because, in fact, little things was added.

Idk, deep in my heart, I think I was hoping this would be a campaign DLC with unique units for civilizations.
the scenario they are playing right now is definitely not, what i like tbh…

Presumably you were hoping that because all of us were promised that the expansion would be “campaign focused”.

it’s almost exactly what bethesda has done: take community mods and sell them as DLC
this is extremely disappointing. this should be a free update as compensation for releasing a game in a broken state/breaking it with every other update. basically every price is too expensive for it

This type of scenario should be an FLC, just to entertain players, like these seasonal events.

What does FLC mean?
I mean i want to add i’m not a fan of these kind of typ scenarios where you only have to survive until you win but on the other hand they make a lot of sense. I just hope they are not all dragged like that.
Has he only done custom scenarios so far or did he create some official ones as well?
Because i have to agree with most people in here, that i’m not the biggest fan of these custom scenarios. I agree that they feel like too much different than aoe2 gameplay…i mean sometimes it works but sometimes it’s just too strange imo.
I only tried 3-4(most popular at the time) and i didn’t enjoy them that much…maybe it changes a bit with steam achievements etc…
Oh I see. I looked it up and got the idea now. Somehow this make me really worried of AoM Retold’s quality.

it’s short for free DLC, or freeLC. just a free content update (a bit like how hindustanis got reworked as a free update for indian DLC)
