TBH I don’t consider this that big of a deal, at least when compared to other things like using bad AI art for the DLC cover or failing to add any in-game assets AFAIK. The map is at least an okay fit for where the vast majority of Philly’s scenarios take place. Even ones that aren’t part of the DLC, like his Chinese scenarios, could have fit on the map. If the communication around the DLC had been better and it was perceived as offering more value, I would see this map thing as a minor nitpick.
But it definitely doesn’t help their case given the circumstances. Until proven otherwise, the safe assumption seems to be that they’re cutting corners at every possible opportunity.

@SirWiedreich maybe I wasn’t clear, and I did just now edit my original message to try to be a bit clearer, but what you quoted was me saying a week ago I’d have assumed good intent. No sense wasting money if something lying around is exactly as good as something new would be.
But yeah, now, after knowing they lied to us, I’m drawing pretty much every negative inference available to me.
Could be even an amazing AI-made picture, its such a low move to do this instead of human-made picture, it gets worse coming from a company that is a kid from the billionaire Microsoft, even worse that its overpriced, and even worsly worse that its a VERY overpriced DLC.

Come on! With this argument, China should have even more scenarios, its influence reached as far as coastal East Africa. Even if we stuck to Europe, I would argue that Franks were not more relevant than Teutons, Byzantines or Italians, yet they get far more spotlight.

I would say that the influence of Framce is greater than that of the Italians and that in a lot of ways the Germams spread over easteen europe many of the things that the French/Franks invented

I think a lot of Muslims would still take issue with his inclusion in a game like that. It’s a move even riskier than adding Tibet.

I think it depends on the extent of the inclusion. And I’m pretty sure many Muslim people could also take offense if it becomes too obvious the game is avoiding making any mention of him.

Yeah, a campaign about him without giving him a hero unit, dialogue for him or any beetwen campaign images like Barbarrossa or Saladin would probably be fine
There are already Saladin and Tariq Ibn Ziyad campaign.
If you want Saracens split and a new campaign for Saracens, there is basically zero reason to pick Prophet Mohammad over General Khalid. Surely his name will be mentioned in intro & outro cutscenes. And that’s completely fine.
Btw, Khalid is already an AI player for Saracens. So is Caliph Abu Bakar.
