New Lithuanian Historical Battle scn by FE Designer

The Lithuanians temporarily became a great power in the late Middle Ages and were rightly added to the AoE series in 2019. It is long overdue that a historical battle scenario is dedicated to them. So let’s go: The Battle of Blue Waters

I love this, thank you so much, when i visited Lithuania 2 years ago, I fell in love with its culture and history and I was elated when I saw the release of their Civ on AoE2DE , I got to see their castles, towns and even their soldiers ,modern as well as fully armoured long swordsman, it was truly a blessing. I just want more, I too visited Poland a few times and became infatuated with their rich history as well. Althiugh a multitude of people say that it wont happen, I do hope we get to see an expantion adding Poland, Armenia and Georia to DE.

I too visited Lithuania, but that was roughly 15 years ago!
The problem with introducing new civilizations is that those may work well in the single player mode, but adding further peoples to the game makes little sense for the competitive multiplayer scene at this point.

That is just thet thiing, I mostly play single player, fighting the campaigns ,creating historically accurate campaigns and fighting against AI on the random maps. The only time I play multiplayer is when I fight with my friends or my lady against AI armies. So for me, to add these civs with corresponding campaigns will be amazing, I can’t get enough content for historical campaigns ,it what made me fell in love with the first AoE2 so many hears ago.

Hi and thanks for adding a scenario for the Lithuanians, especially with a fairly unknown battle that was key for the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
However, as AOE2DE being a success with increasing sales, I think that new content, including new civs would make sense, even for the competitive players since there are a good amount of bonuses and techs, as well Unique units that are pointed as missing: I will show you a few examples:

  • Archers with increased attack.
  • Free archer upgrades.
  • Fast moving archers.
  • Self regenerative HP Archers.
  • Fast attacking battle elephants.
  • Knights with increased armor.
  • Villagers with more HP
  • Fast moving gunpowder, also more armor…
For units: Elephant gunner, Archer ignoring pierce armor, Mounted Huskarl, Mounted Berserk, etc…

Thanks for your input!
Who knows what the future will bring. Compromises may be possible that are satisfactory for all parties. We will see!

There are a lot of Single player fans for AoE2 including me.
Wish we could have had new civs in the monthly updates to complete the regions that have been left out. It would be one of the best updates!!! I guess am just daydreaming. :stuck_out_tongue:

In my opinion important regions that have been left out by the game are:

  • southern india (dravidian)
  • eastern india (bengals)
  • western slavs (polish)
  • central/southern africa (bantu)
  • thai/tai
  • caucasian (georgian/armenian)
  • more americans (araucans/amazonian/mississipian)
  • tibet

Polish aren’t Slav, but Czechoslovakians (Civ name: Bohemians) are.

Polish is a West Slavic language of the Lechitic group.

Hi, I’m an AOE2 fan from China and I like this Lithuanian campaign. May I translate this to Chinese so that more Chinese players can get to know and play? I will include your original publication page when translating.
