I’d like the Muisca to be a full blown major civ, as it was considered to be one of the three advanced cultures of the Americas, and the inspiration of El Dorado, a corruption of El Hombre Dorado, or “The golden Man” (a reference to a ritual involving their leader throwing gold into a lake), with a focus on gold and a Warchief that makes it easier to acquire Gold through an Aura.
They could re-add the minor Aztecs as Tlaxcala or Nahua. Like how Incas were renamed to Quechua.
But there’d still be the problem of Zapotecs and Mayas (and pre-Warchiefs Aztecs) appearing in South America, where they never lived. They should make more maps based on Mexico.
I’d really like to see a Habsburg settlement have the option of appearing on the Mexico map. There was a Habsburg Emperor of Mexico who actually resided in Mexico.
Small list of possible candidates.
Maybe the Brazilian Wari’? (not to be confused with the Andean Wari)

They don’t seem to live in a big area compared to other natives tho
Hmm, it seems that, with the exception of the Wichí, you could group all of them in the Guaycurú people group.
Yes, but I would like the Guaycurú to be a complete civilization together with the Mapuche.
I think the Timbiras, the Tucanos, the Muras, the Mundurucus, the Guarani, the Arawak, the Panos, the Cayapós, the Guaycuru, the Charrua and the Cariris are probably better candidates for new Minor Civs for the overall “Brazil” region.
I had already suggested Guaranis
