I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much, lest they be dashed. But it’s fun to think about.

Given the whole DLC 5 thing, and V&V being no6. This has likely been in the works for a while. Which I don’t like getting my hopes up too much, this feels like it will be a bigger DLC than before.
Remember when we used to get 4 new civs, a ton of new assets and even new theme music?

No, the Eastern European architecture set is not fitting for any Balkan civ except the Romanians/Vlachs/Wallachians. Actual Balkan architecture very distinctly resembles the architecture used in the Mediterranean region.

Though might be the fact AOE 2 DE will be free to play like 3 DE, just today as that new DLC appeared as the achievement, One Eula appeared when you tried to open the game and you has to accept it, even though it never shows said Eula.

There is a rumor on reddit that Celts will get a rework. So Celts rework with new proper Celts campaign as a free gift for 25th anniversary? The achievement is related to the new campaign - Steal 50 sheep from enemies in one particular campaign mission.

Let’s not get too excited. After all, they didn’t fully deliver with V&V. All we can do is hope for the best. If they do another European DLC, it probably wont be very successful for the first few months, since I’m pretty sure everyone is tired of Euro DLCs.
Not me. The only reason I don’t want more is because there aren’t any new architecture sets. If this DLC adds more, which I hope it will, it will be fresh and fun.

No.
Chances are they are trying to generate hype similar to 2022 when Dynasties of India (Codename Porto) was added in January.
V&V was more like a side project anyway.
