New surprise DLC on 25th anniversary?

After what they did with AoM Retold? Do you still don’t trust on FE?
I cannot think in any other team who can do a better job with this game than them.

They are a myth to me. I thought the same when AoE2 DE was launched. It was jaw-droppingly good. Highly detailed yet highly recognizable graphics, tons of QoL features, ranked ladder etc.

But later they felt like a completely different team. Constantly introducing new bugs, and failing to fix them, yet claiming to have fixed them sometimes. Questionable decisions, like ugly menu UI and DLCs no one asked for.

How can you be the same person who made S tier product then constantly making garbage? :man_shrugging:

Not for me. It was extremely buggy with a ton of graphical errors. Granted, I only played around with the collapse animations in the Scenario Editor, but given those did not function properly, I was turned off for months.

They have lots of experience re-mastering aoe games. This example could not possibly have less relevance to the point I was making.

Yeah. That will be nice. We have box turtle as a shore fish. Duck can also be a “Shore Fish” just like pigs are “Sheep” in this game. 11

Just kidding mate.

20 characters.

Yes, it’s very vague and obviously we don’t know – it just seems (to me) a very odd thing to say if you have six months of silence planned.

The real Christmas presents are the Gargarensis alt accounts that have trolled us along the way.

Pedantic point: I count only 14 civs added with DE and its DLCs. (Admittedly that is still a lot – more than the original Age of Kings had.

Perhaps they didn’t plan to stop the balance updates?

The part where it says “so to the extent that you enjoy and support Victors and vanquished” gives off a bad vibe.

It feels like they know the DLC wouldn’t be well received, but are condescendingly trying to guilt players into supporting it or buying it or else they will cut support for the game.

I mean, high price, recycled free content…not exactly going to take a genius to figure that out.

Yes, I agree… it’s normal that things went badly for them with those DLCs because they were outside the normal regional DLCs they had been making…

Yes, I strongly agree with this… I would like to see AoE 2 maps evolve to be like those in AoE 3, even if that could be controversial with regards to redibility…

Yes, I agree… I think that at some point they will include the other AoE 1 campaigns in RoR… I see a RoR 2 in 2027-2028 as probable…

Sorry, I meant since AoK
No worries on pedantic. I appreciate the detail, and don’t think it’s pedantic. I didn’t state very clearly

Oh yes also placeable bulls without the carts attached, dogs and lionesses too. The tigers, bears and lions are so small compared to the wolves. Also bison.

Is this a hint for regional villager skins??? The eye emoji seem like a hint to me.

No panties :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

I doubt this is a clue.

Same. Either way, certainly not a gameplay one. I doubt we will be able to click a button to ask the male villagers to strip to make them faster.

Maybe, or they planned an event or something. Your guess is as good as mine.

Yeah, it’s not great wording.

The Full Monty dlc confirmed!
