New surprise DLC on 25th anniversary?

What’s this about? I’ve seen other articles on AoE2’s anniversary lately…funnily more than what the official site wrote about it.

The IG post explains that there are related links
but i can’t find

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That’s new! I’m using ctrl-f to go back as far as I can and there is nothing else.

Yeah I’m right. This has never been done for this DLC before. Whatever this is, it’s movement.

An hour and a half before RBW starts. Let’s keep an eye on it.

No matter what
This is also our goal in these months watching together
hope good things are coming

We are all united like an army, in anticipation and our search for clues. Now…let us see if they bear fruit…

Hahaha
This picture of Cao Cao
Reminds me of the Three Kingdoms period in China
At that time, Yuan Shao led various princes to fight against Dong Zhuo’s allies.

Oh I know. Watched some of the series while I had the time for it. The actor is having a LOT of fun with the role.

Thought it was a good gif to use given the evidence towards China as the DLC location.

Just waiting

:eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Sadly you will be waiting longer. They delayed it by 45 minutes.

It would be nice to have a balancing preview for the other civilisations.

It’s… complicated. But certainly the number of civilisations using that set must be reduced.

Of course it suits the Italians, it was indroduced for them 11

There is always a patch at the release of a DLC as well. So that would be likely anyway.

Or just don’t add any more and make more civs for the lesser used ones.

Good, so we can get back to a proper discussion 11

Honestly, I would just rename the Celts to Gaels, Slavs maybe in Rus’ or split them in two, and do something about the Goths and that’s it.

The last thing the game needs is more European civs.

But in fact I agree, they just need to give more precise connotations to certain civilisations.

Meanwhile, another set of 5 “microsoft_staging” have happened within very short succession of each other.

So if your theory is correct and a staging is the checkmark of a new feature (like civ or campaign), we have now at least 9. But it could also be for each mission of a campaign. Is there any indication of how much a staging covers based on the amount of entries or something else?

These stagings could just be updates of whatever the last 5 were for. So I don’t think we can guess anything here in regards to what they are exactly.

And a 6th one now!
