CHICKENS! BOCK BOCK BOCK BOCK!

I guess the devs liked my suggestion. I think I was the main person asking for chickens.

So they were not joking when they said it would be one of the most interesting DLC ever.

I mean it is the most interesting for me and DLC is not out yet.

The only Expansions to add 5 civilisations before where The Conquerors and The Forgotten.
That’s pretty massive.

Also have you seen all those new regional units that they sneaked in in the change log?

HUH! That is a really big DLC!

(I’m really hoping that this isn’t their last hurrah type of DLC and we’ll have more in the future still!)

VERY excited about the new castles, regional religious buildings and monks, and the new skins for upgraded UUs. Very pleasantly surprised!

I can’t believe my eyes. FIVE NEW CIVS??
I love that new visuals btw.
New castles and monasteries is great!
I just wonder how the new “cardinal” monk unit will be used. I like the traditional European monk…

With 5 civs you gotta ask yourself what architecture qill most civs use. We know for sure that Tanguts and Jurchwn are coming and those seem to be using rthe current east asia set

My take is:

  • Tanguts
  • Jurchen (those two sre for sure)
  • Khitan (Kushluk campaign, easy nostalgia bait)

The most natural addition to those two would be Gokturks/Uyghurs abd Tibet, aince they are also from western China and had a large presence in Northern China and the Steppes

We could also see something from the south like Nanzhao or Chams. Or maybe the Thai

We also have the tech tree and two unique units for the new civs (unless Fire Archers are scenario editor only) and three (or four, cant say if the new ship is unique to the Chinese or not) new regional units: fire lancers, the east Asian Mangonel/Trebuchet and Fire Carts

I am excited for new attack animations! It will add a lot of variety to battles! I like that they are adding unpushable huntables too.

Really really amazing.

Regional monks, elite unit skins, fixed animations and attack synced. Infantry rebalance, a reasonable portoguese nerf.

This is shaping up to be by far the best patch/dlc in years. Tons of feedback from the forum used. Thank you devs!

Crossing my fingers for a Conquerors style DLC with some civs for Africa and America as well. Why when not now? Unique castles and unique monk skins are also something I really wanted for a long time now. Unique monasteries for Ethiopians, Byzantines and “Shamanistic” civs.

Yes 5 new civs.
They must have read my comment last year
Back then I predicted kitan, tangut, Hütchen, tibetan and Thai.

Also love the new diversity on animals, nature, buildings and units

Khitans, Jurchens, Tanguts and Tibetans confirmed.

5th one is not Uyghurs nor Siamese.

I guess its either Nanzhao, Gokturks or Sogdians.
