This month, we’re going to join the Halloween theme. We want you to depict your ideal haunted village/town in Age of Empires style!

Your entry MUST include an image (max of 3 images) and must relate to an Age of Empires game (or an illustration having to do with one). You may also include a written portion explaining your entry that may be no more than 600 characters in length (not including spaces); if your entry includes non-English words, you must provide an accurate English translation of those words in your written portion.
Sometimes haunted village can have ghost but sometimes it’s the past, memories, and people that can haunt us when we go back to what was either wrong or grand at one point that’s just left to rot while the earth takes it back.
THE ABANDONED VILLAGE OF BLAUESDORF Blauesdorf, a village that used to be a happy place, turned into a sad and dark village when all the villagers and village guards were killed when being raided by pirates. Some say it is not a haunted village, and we can see ghosts around and the ‘Blauergeist’ ghost, these blue ghosts appearing at some certain places, trying to communicate with any visitors. But it is not known for sure, as all the scouts that came in never made it back, supposedly killed by the ghosts in the haunted village…

After the sudden death of the village chief, villagers suspect that god has cursed them for burning the nymphomaniac woman alive. Years later the woman’s spirit returns to village. The spirit which has turned to evil, this is where villagers will be exposed to a resurrected evil witch, who has manifested herself in the body of another beautiful woman of village. Aided by her father, who is a master of the dark magic, she is determined to kill and consume every single villager who burned her alive in front of the Great Buddha. And there is no known power on Earth that can stop this spirit from taking a revenge. Villagers don’t leave their houses due to fear and this evil witch prey for men near bay, every night with her poetic songs.
The fate of the village is sealed, a village which once was a hub for trade and entertainment, is now diseased. Day before the eclipse, an Oracle said, “This is your doing. There will be no change until everyone get rid of their lust for wealth, power and ■■■. These are desire. Justice will only be served when there will be no injustice done from hands of men. Those who did cruelty toward an unarmed woman must present themselves in front of the spirit during eclipse. Then and only then Justice will be done.”

A small town in the desert encounters a severe drought. Their sole source of water, a river that flows to the east, dries up and leaves parched dirt and dry mouths. The lack of water takes a heavy toll and the town’s residents weaken. Many die, so the local priest proposes a sacrificial ritual to restore their good fortune. Five young women are slaughtered on the cliffs overlooking the town. Their blood waters the ground, but the river remains dry. Enraged the towns folk seize the priest and place his decapitated head on a pike in the middle of the streets. As the once strong militia falters, the town becomes easy prey for organized bandits. Within a week the whole town is torched and the entire population is slaughtered. The only living thing that remains is a small patch of pumpkins, cursed to rot in the heat of burning fires.

The tainted land where the sacrifice occurred. It overlooks the rotting pumpkin patch and a small mining camp.
Villagers belive that Teoyaomqui cursed this place. Perhaps that is the reason why they tell strange stories about rituals in the old Aztec ruins or about a strange wagon that crosses the town and take the soul of anyone who crosses it. Maybe that’s why the soul of that woman waits in the rain at the station.
Welcome to Witch Town! This creepy and haunted town was forgotten by the years. Long ago, a curse fell on the town, when it was exuberant and beautiful. One by one, the inhabitants died of a strange plague.
Now only wolves roam, but the graveyard is frequently visited by witches.

Finally, the castle, built in the middle of a cursed lake. The plaza is surrounded by ruined buildings and skeletal corpses.
Age of Empires Online Halloween
Something a bit more cheerful, the Happy Halloween in my Egyptian city of Abydos; shrines, gardens, obelisks and a small pyramid surrounded by haunted trees and smiling pumpkins.
Brings back lots of good memories.
In Halloween night 3 students venture into the woods to spend a night in the tent. For a long time, he was talking about that forest, because he was astonished, but the boys did not believe that.
They lost themselves in the woods, being in a village … abandoned … destruction, loneliness and death … that’s what they found.
Among the dead, a strange presence lived in that bloody village …
In a Cold Winter's Night, some scouts and knights travelled around the unexplored land on the east of Gondor, they discovered a really spooky town filled with strange structures and creatures surrounding the city, they realized they had encountered one of the most dangerous places to go in, but it was all dark and blurry to follow their way back, their only chance to survive was to fight to their last breath to breach the ambush that was about to unfold there, it then turned out they had encountered the dreaded land of MORDOR.
