Once again RedBull marginalizes us

competitive is when not aoe3

It is assumed that it is a game that hardly anyone is interested in, and yet there was enough pressure for an official statement to come out.

Meme always valid xd  :point_right:

That’s true…if AoM RT can be in the RBW, then AoE 3 DE can too, although in its defense, AoM has few civs/cultures and is easier to balance, maybe AoM can serve as a test, if it hits well in the RBW, then they will try the titanic task that is AoE 3 DE…

A very toxic Spaniard?..xd

Yes, and it’s not even AoE 1… it’s an AoE 2 dlc with things from 1 in it…

Yes, they are shouting “we launch AoE 3 DE to the players and give them dlcs, but for us, let that game die and everyone who plays it and switch to AoE 2 or AoE 2.2”…

Yes, I put it above…they don’t even know what they want to do with the game…if they like being PC so much, let them promote it with Native Americans and African civs…

They said the same thing 2 years ago…if it were for time, then they should leave AoE 1/RoR aside and if it were for money it’s a lie, AoE is the flagship of the real-time strategy of a supercorporation like Microsoft…

Yeah, I’ve already resigned myself…I expected them to put AoE 3 DE in the RBW between 2020 and 2022…now I directly prefer that they put the RBW where the sun doesn’t reach them…I’ll watch it simply to support Retold, but with me don’t count for anything else…

Yes, they want to shoot themselves in the foot… no Vietnamese will play RoR and on top of that they put themselves on top of the AoE 3 community, which has thousands of players around the world…

Yes, I agree, I couldn’t have said it better…in short, to improve the game it needs love, communication and content…if any of these 3 fail, the game does not deploy all the potential it could and ends up swallowed up by the other games in the saga…

Yes, if they did the same to AoE 2, the AoE 2 community would eat them raw, but since it’s AoE 3, no one complains there and even the AoE 2 players make fun of the AoE 3 players saying "haha, “dead game” (that happened to me 2 years ago in an AoE Facebook group called Mundo AoE, which mostly uploads things from AoE 2 and I didn’t pay attention to one who was making fun of it, saying me “what does it feel like to play a game dead?” and I was left chewing anger)…

Yes, you don’t need to say it…they want everyone to move to AoE 4 and if AoE 3 looks better, they boycott it…

Yes, they only care about 2 and the rest stays in the dark background…

Yes, although it may be considering that the dlc was released on both Steam and the Microsoft Store, so it may be because of the hype that it sold so much…

Je ne dirais pas que le jeu soit mort, mais ceci dit je pense que certains échelons de WE n’en ont strictement rien à faire de aoe 3 DE

Sorry but I don’t think you can be in an organized event like Redbull with out of syncs, out of sync recorded games, the weird glitchy postgame screens, disconnects, and a trash UI. It wouldn’t be a good look. They don’t want to dedicate resources to fixing those things because there’s no benefit, and the game is already in a playable state, just not in a showcase state.

What about a game that would be just released?

Yeah. The inclusion of AOMR negated all these arguments. It’s an unreleased game; it’s going to be chock full of bugs and exploits during RBW.

WE seem hellbent on pushing AoMR as an Esports title. Sigh.

They want to advertise aomr and it will be in a showcase ready state. Aoe3 never has been. Aoe2 and aoe4 were the cash cows for the publisher. Aoe3de was released to just complete the series.

It is also argued that AOM participates because there is a good mass of spectators. Does AOM have more fans than AOE-3?

Nah we never lack excuses.

AOE3 needs to reach the same number of players as 2 and 4, develop a playerbase in Vietnam as 1 (the legacy version, btw), and have the same number of “potential” players and viewers (god knows how to estimate that) and also the same predicted release state as AOM, all at the same time, to receive any official promotion.

That’s the fierce and brutal esports world my friend.

Now that’s a good question. With it being the latest RTS on the market and with a lot of attached nostalgia, it might get a ton of eyeballs.

I’d be willing to pay if I can try out your time machine.

well i’ll patiently wait to see how poorly the showcase ready part ends up aging, remember retold is upgraded 3 DE engine, i think the real reason for excluding 3 is how terrified the corpo world plus twitter mob are of its time period (even the word colonialism is a no no it seems)

No! It’s much funnier this way.

Oui, je suis d’accord… on s’en est rendu compte il y a quelque temps…

Good point…well in that case, let them meet with capture age and see how to improve the UI…if AoM can be in the RBW, then AoE 3 DE could easily be in the RBW (if you want, do a tournament with European civs on European maps promoting the Baltic DLC)…

Yes, adding AoM already dismantles the argument of not including AoE 3, if you already have AoM and you are going to launch a Baltic dlc for AoE 3, then add AoE 3 instead of having a tournament for an AoE 2 DE dlc that few play…

And if the game doesn’t work, then they won’t give it a place in the next RBW because blah blah blah it wasn’t compe###### blah blah blah…

Well then, screw them… I’ll watch the RBW to support AoM Retold, but it sucks that they discredit AoE 3 in that way, it’s unfair and the game doesn’t deserve it… they can’t cover the sun with a finger, at some point people are going to ask for AoE 3 in the RBW and they will have no choice but to put it in…I’m going to laugh a lot if AoE 2 and AoM come out with bugs and then need to do damage control for being arrogants…

I doubt it…but I don’t rule out that AoM has an acceptable community by the standards of the saga (I think it has between 2000 and 3000 players); with Retold it may reach 5000 or 7000 and with all the fury above 10k…

Yes, they have more “buts”…they better say that they don’t like the game for X things and we take off our masks…

That’s true, I don’t rule it out…AoM Retold is going to be the star of RBW (RoR, AoE 2 and AoE 4 will make a bit of a splash and there they will be, maybe AoE 4 will increase a little in popularity because of the Byzantines and the Japanese…with RoR and AoE 2 maybe they will release new dlcs so they don’t run out of anything to promote)…
